I dated a girl back in the 70's that went absolutely crazy in bed... so the term might have merit..

Don't worry about how members of congress would be elected. We could iron out those boring details later.
You have some of that now with 28 Majority black, 30 majority Hispanic and 2 majority Asian districts. It like saying only a person of my race can represent me which I think is bogus as heck.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

Lol, that's not what it means.

It's one of the dumbest theories ever.

    I don't know, but I'm intrigued.
If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.

It would no longer be a representative system if people no longer had the ability to freely choose whomever they want.

    Re: Congressional Diversity Amendment

If you want more diversity in congress then make redistricting a non-partisan process. Do that and make election day a federal holiday and congress will start looking a lot more like America.

No, citizens should be able to vote for whoever they want to represent them, regardless of race, religion, gender, etc.

How would you achieve such a thing? Using census data one may find that a given congressional district is 51% female, 49% male and 6% GLBT, also has 54% white alone, 15% black alone, 24% Hispanic and 6% Asian with the rest "self identifying" as being of mixed race. Does a "diverse" candidate then have to be a white female?

I agree. I would like to see an amendment or law which states that redistricting a state must keep as many counties whole as possible.
