interesting."l believe you are a threat to me,so l can kill you'

This poll is ridiculous. And since it was posted by a good person living in Turkey, it should convince people of the disservice American media does to the reputation and good name of America in the world. That someone outside America thinks an 18 yr old black youth in America was killed because he stole some cigars is just sad.

Yes. All robbers should be killed in the act.

no goshin,a life is always more important than Money.would you let them kill you instead of giving all your Money ?

That's ****ed up, man. Very few things are worth someone's life. If I have a gun and I see someone stealing my car, I'm just gonna call the cops and not get involved. The only moral reason for murder is self-defense.

As Turtle said, your example is theft, not robbery. Robbery involves force or threat of force, endangering a human at least potentially.

Yes, my statement was rather extreme; on purpose, because the disingenuous deceptiveness of the OP made me angry.

Ideally I'd prefer no one committed robbery. Secundus, I'd prefer robbers never harmed their victims.

Unfortunately both those wishes are akin to wishing for unicorns and pegasi.

Failing that, I'd 'druther law-abiding citizens shot down lots of robbers in the act. It would tend to discourage this behavior far more effectively than anything our criminal justice system could do.

Robbery isn't a game or a prank or a cheap thrill; it is theft using force or threat of force, and innocent people get hurt or killed DAILY in robberies, whether the robbers INTENDED to hurt or kill or not.

Therefore I have little sympathy for them.

This is before even addressing the OP's disingenuousness in pretending it was the cigar store robbery that cost Brown his life. It was being enough of a dumbass to fight an armed cop and scare him into thinking he was going to get hurt or killed.

I suspect you're running into a language barrier. Do you understand the concept of self defense?

Don't you love the picture they used on the T-shirts in Furgeson? It has Brown with his graduation cap on.

I guess that was the most innocent looking picture they could find.
They used this one originally...

Tried and true tactic. Remember when we first learned about Trayvon it was 'this' kid...

Only to find out he was a LITTLE bit older and was now a hard chargin no limit nigga that had been busted for pot, crackin lockers at school, fighting, etc.

No dear, given half a chance though I would shoot them first.

They shouldn't threaten me to attempt to take what I have lawfully earned. If they threaten harm to my person (which is the definition of robbery, force or threat of force), they deserve what they get.

I am not a rich man. I cannot afford to lose what little I have, lest my ability to provide for my family might be damaged or destroyed.

In any case, the OP is deceptive; Brown was shot because he attacked a police officer half his size and scared him into thinking he was going to get killed with his own gun.

I don't know what good people in Turkey or elsewhere really think about the shooting of Michael Brown, but the evidence has now been made public, and they can all draw their own conclusions. If one person concludes that Brown was shot because he stole cigars, that's just one person's opinion.

where is the democracy you usually claim to have there ? l have the right to defend what l believe to be true.

Democracy has nothing to do with the fact that you cannot comprehend facts about the US.

You are complaining about concepts that are not true here in the US.

Democracy is not a defense for ignorance.

This is what happens when people have no concept of what transpired. We get polls like this.

Brown did not die because of cigar robbery, nor did he die because of committing assault against the guy in the store. Brown died because he engaged a police officer in a manner like he wanted to fight, he tried to reach for an officers gun, and ultimately he charged that same officer ignoring commands to stop. That is what got him killed, not some robbery.
.martin wasnt even robbing any store but he was killed too.

but he had no gun .thats the question.it means he didnt want to shoot anyone with a gun

But he tried to take a gun from a cop. What do you think he was going to do with it had he gotten away from the cop?

There are five scenarios:

1. If the robber is not detained, and currently threatening people with deadly force

-Deadly force should only be used to counter a currently present deadly force from another person/thing. If possible, stun a deadly person rather than kill.

2. If the robber is on the lose, and not able to threaten anyone.

-The robber can't harm anyone, so stunning is the most that should be used.

3. If the robber is on the lose, has killed someone, and is not able to threaten people.

-Same as above, unless the robber begins to threaten people with deadly force.

4. If the robber is on the lose, has killed someone, and is able to threaten people.

-Take the robber out, so at to prevent the lose of innocent life as much as possible. If the robber stops threatening people and surrenders, or puts him/herself in a scenario where they cannot threaten anyone else, then the most that can be used is stun force.

5. If the robber is detained, in prison, etc.

-Under no circumstances should a detained criminal, no matter the degree of their crimes, should be executed, because they cannot threaten anyone within society, They can and should be given extensive rehabilitation, and it is the humane thing to do.

It all comes down to whether they someone is threatening others with deadly force or not.

especially when he is black...

color has nothing to do with it.......Just and excuse to rob and loot. Or and if he is trying to kill a police officer the answer is yes.

I'll bet it's not just one person's opinion - maybe Medusa would have some insight on that. I just believe it's reflective of the sound bites that people outside America get about life/crime/guns, etc. in America. If you don't take the time to become even marginally knowledgeable about such things, you can get a pretty warped view of reality.

nobody is stupid here and lets not forget we dont have to be an expert on USA'S laws in order to know that not everybody can be killed because they were thought as a threat

no, that's obviously and objectively wrong.. he was an idiot who assaulted a cop and got his dumb ass killed.

end of story.

like martin.. but he was condemned by many of you too.

Aren't you tired of that subject after the last time you brought it up?

Martin got shot because he pounded a man's head into the sidewalk, an act capable of causing serious or lethal injury. Had he not done so, odds are he'd still be alive.

Brown got shot for attacking a police officer and trying to take his gun.

In both cases, the actions of the deceased lead to their being shot.

In both cases, they would have lived if they had refrained from attacking another human being.

I have no sympathy for either. They got what they insisted on getting.
