Any laws that would need to be passed to bring such a system into place would also be purposely written vaguely as to give great leeway far beyond their original intent.
    True enough.

No doubt many computers, but I can override most of them. The steering wheel is still in my control, as are the pedals. As long as the ones meting out fuel to the cylinders continue to do their job, I'm good to go.

Every now and then I toy with the idea of buying only older vehicles (early 70s and older).
If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.

I've owned quite a few of those older vehicles, and trust me: The ones they make today are far superior.

I have too, and I don't disagree. Probably what keeps me in the present. Older vehicles are best for nostalgia and hobby purposes, not daily drivers.

It'd be nice not to be immediately susceptible to an EMP burst.

So, being the law-abiding person that you seem to be, you advocate prosecution of employers breaking the law by hiring illegal immigrants, correct?

We have too many felonies already. Are you willing to downgrade some felonies to misdemeanors? If so, which ones?
No, im against laws which say who a person can or can not hire. Attack the problem at the source, which is the border.

The notion that an employer should be able to legally employ a person who is in the country illegally is simply loony.

By your rationale we should also repeal all child labor laws and put 7 yr olds back to work in the coal mines. Or, is that somehow "different"? The 7 yr old in the coal mine is actually more defensible if they're a citizen.

Well, if it's a good thing that legislators be encumbered you may need a new legislative system. I mean, it's not like the Constitution was delivered to Moses on top of a mountain or whispered by Allah into James Madison's ear. How many times has it been modified and re-modified and how much turmoil does the process cause? I guess we'll find out with this 'anchor baby' issue.
