I'm more cynical, otherwise pretty much the same. I have come to realize that doing nothing also doesn't screw anything up.
Was pretty Conservative when I was younger but the more I've grown, matured and learned the more Conservative I became.
I'd say that I have moved left with age.
Yes I am more conservative. I've become more in favor of bigger government (which at least used to be a fairly traditional conservative attitude until the Southerners came in) while embracing religion as a public necessity and with various amounts of elitism being preferable to espousing the knowledge and virtue of common man.
"No religion is true, but some religion, any religion, is politically necessary. Law and morality are insufficient for the large majority of men. Obedience to the law and to the morals are insufficient for making men happy. […]Law and morality are therefore in need of being supplemented by divine rewards and punishments."
I've gotten more libertarian than conservative... wonder if that will continue or not.
“I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on what’s being proposed here, he’d agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute.” - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.
So far the poll results aren't lining up with what ppl are sharing. I was conservative in my 20's and still conservative now.
