    No.

I get to see her on a fairly regular basis since I work about as far south in Manhattan as one can get without having to swim for it. I like having the constant reminder of what the country is supposed to be about.

I can't vote because the "This is the stupidest ****ing poll evah" option isn't there. Sorry
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

It sounds much more like the plight of illegal immigrants seeking refuge. Just saying.
The statue looked down on Ellis Island where all the immigrants were processed. Legal immigrants. There is a right way and a wrong way. But then the times were different.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

I don't care. Regardless of when the plaque was added, the inscription is now part of the statue. Would you opt to change the inscription to something more representative of conservative ideology?

    The bolded is obvious...
I don't often change my signature, but this was just too over the top to let anyone forget with what this country is up against...

Sure, but the plaque is not referring to laws or governance.

You can try to spin this any way you like, but the fact is there are many who entered and are living illegally in this country, and they do not deserve any special consideration...

The reason why you believe it is because you were indoctrinated to believe it.

In layman terms, the Statue of Liberty sends a message to the rest of the world, stay the **** home and look at what we were able to accomplish. You are capable of doing the same thing in your own country.

So what you're saying is that the inscription contradicts the statue. I do agree that changing the inscription would be easier than tearing down the statue.
