For all those asking this question, you really didn't see the McConnell press conference did you?
The guy is a big-time heavyweight compared to Boehner and is now the most important politician in the Nation .

Not shockingly but there's one your missing from that list and that's Energy Policy. I actually think we'll probably get Keystone done before the year ends in some grand bargain like they did last time around. And I'll also guarantee there will be changes to Obamacare law, though I doubt it will be large. For one thing, I think there is a Veto proof majority to get rid of the Medical Devices Tax that's in it for one.

You actualy elected a person because her main crudentials were that she used to "castrate hogs".........

Besides all that I really dont care much. it will basicaly mean more laughts for us as we watch your country burn.

With all the challenges our country faces, I hope we dont ever become the total failure Germany was. Im sure you will help us though with something like the marshall plan if we do...
 
If the Rep. leadership is smart, they'll start calling the President to public negotiating sessions and put the spotlight on HIS actions/inaction. IMO, it's the only way that we'll see the President start working with Congress instead of treating them like his personal rubber stamp.

I am sick of these cliche redneck replies by people who probably have more teeth than braincells.

"We won a world war". Oh really did you?! Did you storm the beaches of Normandy? Did you fight in the trenches of Stalingrad? Did you defend the skys of London?

Or are you just some redneck siting in a wooden shack watching trucks drive in circles on tv?

Doing things publicly never gets anything done. because way too much bickering and posturing comes into play. Best for Obama and McConnell to take a weekend, work things out, then come back and show us what they got.

Hell all Russia has to do to get you guys to jump is turn off the gas for a couple of weeks, then you guys be ready to give up Eastern Europe to stay warm. Half of me hopes they do; maybe then you'll wise up from that asinine green energy crap.

Another display of your ignorance towards everything outside of the wooden shack in the swamp you live in.

We have gas storage supplies that would last for 2 years! Russias economy would get wrecked if they wouldnt sell gas to us since so much of their income comes from it! Alternative suppliers could be found within a year!

The world doesnt work like your swamp!

Your commenting about the US becoming less relevant but it's not the US I'd be worried about. The combination of a growing immigrant population (largely from Muslim states) and the white population shrinking from aging and not having kids, means in a couple generations we'll have Europe being run by the likes of Anjem Choudary.

With the strength of your green movement, you really think your government is going to look for alternative suppliers? Hell no, they'll double down on solar panels! Is it not true that Germany has been steadily moving away from "dirty fuels"?

Also, Russia could find a new market if they wanted, but that doesn't matter because they won't have to. You see the difference between Russia and Germany is Putin don't care what the people say, or at the very least has the people's support for whatever he's doing.

And what happened after those two times? The first time your economy got trashed to the point you were willing to handover the country to Hitler, and the second time we split Germany up with the Soviets. We didn't lose to the Vietnamese, we just stopped fighting.

Look, you know nothing about American politics, as clearly demonstrated by your breakdown of the election. For one thing, you must be joking if you don't think you have someone in your Parliament that represents the common person, a rural type. Second, what "problems" that are caused by said people going into office are nothing like the last four years of gridlock. We have a better chance of getting stuff done then ever before. And finally, if you want to go ten rounds about who's still going to be around in fifty years I'm all for it, but that's not what this thread is about. It's about what if anything will get done. Contribute if you want on that, otherwise stick to the topic.
