    Some states don't allow or provide for a write in candidate? In California, even when voting absentee, there is provision for write in candidates. I'd be interested to know which states disallow write-ins.

    Me neither! Once, years ago, I got out of the hospital after a minor surgery and went straight to vote - then I went home and went to bed, following doctor's orders!

    Hi Pol,

    I voted in the NH primaries in 2000 the day I was released from the hospital after my 3rd C-section. My husband didn't want to take me there but he caved. The baby was bundled up against the cold.
