    Re: Who wins the senate?

All the polling coming out of Colorado as of the last 24 hours it looks like a R win. I have learned over the years the polling always favors the Democrats because most Republicans are working and TOO busy to respond. This often gives the Democrats the edge by 2-3 points. And usually at the disclaimers at every poll more Democrats responded than Republicans and Independents for that reason. So when the races are so close the edge goes to the Republican. Another edge to the Republican is that Democrats are not known to engage in mid term elections. Democrats can tell you who is hot on TV, the names of stars on every sit-com or latest series and who was hot on the red carpet during the last emmys but can't tell you who is running for office in their local districts. Some can't recognize the current Secretary of State, or even the Vice President.

I voted right/republicans, but it wouldn't surprise me if the democrats keep the senate.

I will never underestimate the ignorance of the American voter.

Sweetie they tried their "darndest" to turn Ohio to a sea of blue but common sense prevailed. I pray common sense falls on California soon or we will have no choice as a nation but to reclaim lands to illegal immigrants to our neighbors to the South just to keep from going under! Anytime you are ready to move away from the madness, just let me know. You do know the employment opportunities under a Republican governor in the state of Ohio or quite good and the amount you have to spend on a home in California will buy you a mansion here.

I'm *this* close to believing that we should scrap the federalist system and become a unitary state.
We have had dems controlling the senate for some time, and we are 6 years into hope and change. Your policies have failed and all you can do is blame it on others, at no point is there introspection.

    Whos really in denial here?

And you aren't "this close" to anything you are already there, statist.

Ha yeah I dont wish this state on anyone. Its unopposed liberalism which means everyone is ignorant and clapping like seals for more...
    State Government

    Governor DEM 2012: no change
Lt. Governor DEM 2012: no change
    State Senate - DEM 12 GOP, 28 DEM 2012: DEM +3
    State Assembly - DEM 25 GOP, 55 DEM 2012: DEM +3

Its clear theres probably no hope here, although my profession is well paid here, when you add in cost of living, income taxes etc I'd still be making more elsewhere. I'd like a place where I can target shoot, fish, long distance backpack, and play loud electric guitar in peace.

Of course they have. Don't let the facts get in your way.

EDIT: And by the way I like how you blame Obama and the Democrats and accuse us of doing the blaming. How droll.

Haha you wish. This actually gives me an idea for a new thread...

Hush your mouth LOP. Are you trying to rob the joy from the rest of us across the nation? It appears to be a for sure takeover of the Senate where Harry the honorary jackass of partisan politics will no longer prevail. But hey I can understand why you feel that way living in the oppressed land of liberal Oregon. Hope common sense falls on your constituents soon for your sake as well.
