2) Very interesting numbers I found.
From 1976 to 2004 --
* 86% of white victims were killed by whites
* 94% of black victims were killed by blacks
3) By Race
An analysis of available race data for the 6,804 known hate crime offenders revealed that:
* 60.5 percent were white.
* 19.9 percent were black.
* 12.3 percent were unknown.
* 5.2 percent were groups made up of individuals of various races (multiple races, group).

1) And this crime got buried by all but the local papers. A couple of outside papers mentioned it exactly once, and on the back pages. And there were 3 whole mentions of it on broadcasts.
This is more of an example for MY argument than yours. The media have demonstrated repeatedly that if this had been whites on blacks or gays, this would've received relentless, around the clock, front-page coverage until the victims became household names with their own federal holidays.
Obviously my contention wasn't that literally zero media sources mention black on white crimes, otherwise I would'nt have ever learned of all these cases the media buried in the
first place.
This is an example of the media
ignoring a black on white crime, not reporting on it equally.
2) And? All this proves is that race-based hate crimes are rare.
3) And we've already discussed the double standard whereby whites attacking blacks is nearly always presumed to be racially motivated (as with the Duke Lacrosse case) while blacks attacking whites are excessively dissmissed as NOT racially motivated (the amityville attack-no hate crime charges, Malvo sniper case-no hate crime charges, the Wichita massacre-no hate crime charges, the SUV driver deliberately mowing down college kids on campus-no hate crime charges, etc.).
There's an eagerness to portray white crimes that involve blacks as bigotry, and a hesitance to do the same about the crimes of blacks and Muslims.
That bias skews results like this.
And I'm hoping you're not trying to use this to suggest that whites are more violent or hateful, because your own source clarifies that blacks commit 6-7 TIMES as many murders as whites.
