you already send representation to Washington.... to the House.

why do you think you need to send Senators to Washington when you are already represented?

are your whims and beliefs shared , in totality, by your State?

so is " they are not even in the top 10"...<shrug>

    lies, damned lies, and statistics..etc..etc..etc

it's the most populous state ( objective), not the most popular ( subjective)

is it a coincidence that some states right now have legislatures that are dominated by one political party, but in national elections the people of these state elect senators that belong to the opposite party?

Ohio and north Carolina for example have state legislatures that are dominated by republicans, yet are currently represented by both a democrat and republican senator each.

does the fact that senator Sherrord Brown and Kay Hagen are representing their states as democrats in spite of the fact that their states have legislatures dominated by republicans offend some people?

The constitution desperately needs some kind of anti-gerrymandering amendment.
I fight against the ignorant, irresponsible, and/or closed-minded.
This group is the worst enemy of America and its freedoms. It includes, but is not limited to, all Trump supporters.

I would agree.... however, that's incredibly improbable.

neither party will give up one if it's greatest powers voluntarily.... and Democratic and Republican voters cannot be trusted to remove that power from the people they send into office ot use it..

in short, learn to live with gerrymandering, it's not going anywhere

Not true actually... the people were herded like cattle.

Stock market collapse (a deliberate event); ensuing depression (also deliberate); make the people suffer, then offer them salvation. It's not that complicated, and it is straight out of Alinski/Gramsci 101, before Gramsci ever wrote his Prison Notebooks.

Since democracy is the most effective way to destroy a solidly founded republic like America, the people were then slowly indoctrinated into accepting and believing in democracy - something that is completely antithetical to liberty, yet they think it is synonymous with liberty - now how can that be?? Of course that can only happen by way of indoctrination.

"The people" did not make an informed choice - b/c no rational, informed person would choose to live in a democracy if they truly understood history and governmental systems.

It could be many, many decades before that happens... hundreds of years perhaps.

It only took about 80 years to chop us down - 1 or 2 generations to plant the seeds. I agree with Yuri Bezmenov and the warnings he gave, and Antonio Gramsci and his prescription for overthrowing target societies, i.e. infiltrate the institutions, poison the well, and let the people enslave themselves through their own ignorance. Americans have bought into the lies hook, line, and sinker.

    America has become Oceania.
It's an absolutely genius way to obtain power over people. Because as long the people feel as if you are noble in your causes they will not fight, but if they feel as if you are corrupt than your rule and your life is in danger every moment of the day. As long as you pick a path that is slow and can be sold as righteous the vast majority of the people will approve of your actions. The evolution of oppression over the centuries is actually pretty impressive really.
