This isn't a scientific poll, its to facilitate discussion in a political discussion forum. Sorry you can't change the parameters as you see fit, though. One of these days, right? :doh

It has nothing to do with being a scientific poll.

If you asked - what is better, a bicameral legislature with a President or a parlimentary system of government, and the people responding had no idea what a parliamentary system was, that kinda invalidates their opinion, doesnt it? Hard to compare two things if you dont/refuse to understand one of them.

We are told constantly of the "settled" science of global warming and bombarded with news coverage on that and world terrorism.

Neither. The biggest current threat to humanity is the Kardashians.

Actually, prety much EVERYONE agrees that climate change is happening. The main disagreement is why it is happening and if man is resposible or not.

Yes everyone agrees that the climate is changing, it always has and always will. In the past ice covered much of the globe, in the past tropical plants grew far into the north. Now, the "climate change" political scheme is a completely different topic. This is merely a political devise being used for governments to gain control over energy use and production. As is usual with Governments, it is the height of arrogance to think we can control the climate as to stabilize it.

If you think I am wrong tell me exactly what policy could stabilize the climate, and exactly what effect that policy will have. I'm not looking for generalizations like "reducing carbon", I want to know how much carbon and the net effect that will have.

And almost as mad—to think that we can reign in and control a runaway government once it has successfully seized the degree of power that it threatens to gain through the use of this “climate change” deception.
