What is the bigger current threat to humanity-Global warming or Terrorism?

We are told constantly of the "settled" science of global warming and bombarded with news coverage on that and world terrorism.

What is the bigger current threat to humanity-Global warming or Terrorism?

Terrorism. Because bombs and retaliation and jet fuel emits so much CO2.
 
Terrorism is real. The threat that it poses is real and direct.

Global warming is a wrong-wing superstition/fairy tale. The only real threat that it poses is indirect, as a consequence of the destructive wrong-wing policies that may be inflicted on us under the guise of fighting this ersatz threat.
 
Global warming is a far larger threat than global terrorism. A significant increase in global temperature will kill far more people worldwide than terrorist activity would.

How can terrorism be a threat to humanity?

Unless everyone becomes a terrorist and then kills themselves after they strike.

Global warming could, theoretically, wipe out humanity.

Terrorism (realistically) cannot.

Well assuming that Global Warming is 100% correct, the answer would clearly be Global Warming. It would affect EVERYONE where Terrorism simply wouldn't on the scale of Global Warming.

If terrorist get hold of a pandemic-causing bug or nuclear weapons, they could well destroy what we call our modern world.

Actually, prety much EVERYONE agrees that climate change is happening. The main disagreement is why it is happening and if man is resposible or not.
 
Terrorism, I'll leave it at that, although in a more broad sense I can think of a certain religion that is the true plague of humanity that must be eradicated.

That's the sticking point. Climate continuously changes and looking back in time, it can change rather suddenly.

IMO, it's a pipe dream to think we can stop it or have any sort of major affect outside nuclear devastation.

All we can do is use our best judgement in not polluting the air, land and water.

Global warming has far greater potential to affect more people. So on some aggregate level of "humanity", global warming is the greater threat.
 
It would be a much more interesting poll if you removed the opinions of people who dont even understand the basics of global warming and deny its actually happening on its face.

The answer is actually within WG III of the IPCC. IPCC - Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change

Its kinda clear, and while I can envision a scenario where we have a Nuclear Winter from terrorism, I think by definition terrorism is defined by random, sporadic attacks, anything that big would be classified as war.

I'm a right leaning American and picked global warming/climate change. Terrorism isn't an existential challenge, climate change is.
 
Unless terrorist organizations become nuclear powers terrorism can never be a significant threat.

Global warming - it is happening, it is a proven FACT that our sea levels are rising, and there's a bunch of wingnuts out there who think we can pump gigatonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere year after year after year without it having any effect at all.

And as much as all of us rightly hate terrorism and stand together against it, people really need to get some perspective - all the victims killed by terrorists so far this century combined don't even add up to one week's worth of KIA's in any of the major battles in WWI. It wasn't unusual for France or Germany to lose twenty thousand in one day.

Well, the science is anything but solid in favor of global warming (shouldn't we all be underwater by now?) so that would be quite an assumption. And terror, already impacts the world, and a world war or nuke would as well. Just things to consider.

Regardless of your political affiliation...

Terrorism is a greater threat to individual humans.
Global Warming is a greater threat to the human race.
