Do you trust president Obama to do a good job fighting ISIS?

Mostly this question is aimed at those who want our country to fight ISIS. Because I noticed many neocon scum in the media saying Obama should do something,Obama should fight ISIS or some other nonsense are the same ones who mock his ability to lead militarily. If this guy is such a poor leader then why on earth do they want that man getting us involved in another war? Do these people think he has General Patton or some other great general on ice ready to thawed? Is there a really great "How to Fight Wars for Dummies" book somewhere?
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Not sure at this point. His intentions might be pure, but I'm highly skeptical of his commitment to the fight at this point, in no small part due to his hesitancy to act as ISIS initially toppled key positions in Iraq. I sincerely hope that he reverses course in terms of seriousness and vowing to not send in troops no matter the circumstance. Ruling out a ground assault beforehand isn't an encouraging sign.

This is a chance for Obama to prove to the world that he can be a great leader. No one wants a war but a war is what we have. When these child killers brag and say that they will see us in New York city and say that their flag will fly over the WH that should be considered a declaration of war by them. I by no means have been to any War College but it seems that these killers have no time line and will slowly do what they have to do to complete their caliphate of the world. It is also time to start playing their game. They want to kill children and rape women we should be just as brutal as they are. Please don't take me as being a war monger or being to brutal, but we have to fight fire with fire. Wash their dead bodies in pigs blood and then just burn their bodies along with the pig carcasses. Rant over.

It's difficult and maybe wrong to sit back and watch events but -o- is the wrong man for the leadership role. He's just as likely to add another chapter to " How Not To Fight A War"

Most certainly he is no Sun Tsu.

Our world situation is, indeed, perplexing; another episode of "damned if we do.. damned if we don't"

"Wellington ? Who's Wellington ? I've just recently heard of him. I'll contain him quickly and then destroy Blucher". Napoleon thought too much of his abilities also.

"Winter? Don't worry about winter, we'll be out of Russia in three months" Hitler

"This will be but a skirmish" Robt. E. Lee

" Today, in the Gulf of Tonkin......" LBJ

My mind's imaginings of the above statements and thoughts. There is no clue to Obama's thoughts!

There's a bad moon on the rise.

    other.

    1. neoconservatives are not scum. we all share the same goal, which is keeping the country safe while building a stable economy. hawks are looking at the problem in a different way, and in a way which i believe is incorrect.

    2. the problems in the Middle East cannot be solved by external military force. they must be solved internally by regional hegemons like Saudi Arabia.

Obama does not or is unwilling to understand the problem, because explaining it properly to the American people will embolden his political enemies to paint him as weak on foreign policy.

    my opinion is :

    1. the proposed strategy will not work.

    2. even if the US destroys this particular snake, two will grow from its corpse.

end infinitywar now, and nation build in the United States.

    1. I don't trust Obama to do anything well. He has proven that his actions are never goal oriented...they are politically oriented. That means he'll never go into this ISIS thing with the goal of ending them. He'll do what he thinks necessary for his political appearances only.

    2. As we've learned...and as Obama SHOULD have learned...war by committee doesn't work. He totally ****ed up Libya that way...now he wants to do the same to Syria and Iraq.

    3. It is well known that he doesn't trust his Generals. That means he won't listen to their suggestions, won't implement their ideas, plans, tactics or strategies. The result is, from his point of view, "My way or the highway". Unfortunately, his way is the highway to hell.

I see a complete lack of reality in the Media play by play of events in Syraq. First we arm ISIS directly, or indirectly. We want to get rid of Assad so we can get the pipeline concession across Syria. We're supposed to pretend we don't notice Oil and Gas as geo-political realities. Then there are the lovely profits of war. First profits to the Energy corporations as the logistics of preparation for war by moving arms, planes, transports, ships, and all the suppoet equipment. Yowsah, war is good business, dont' ya' know? The new unemployment program. ISIS is genuine scumbags, but they are native scumbags to the area. We armed and funded al Qeda. We armed and funded ISIS. There's just so much covert collusion going on and it's not about liberty and justice for all. I'm not optimistic about any positive outcomes in Syraq.

I agree, the reason why we are still in Iraq is all about money now and the military-industrial complex. We arm and finance both sides just to keep the war going.
