House passed the funding with both parties' members being all over the place. Today the Senate takes up the issue. It's expected to pass.

    Well then

There can't be many Islamic radicals in Saudi Arabia.

Nah.....he is looking to play it safe with his own self. Which he will do for his last 2 years. To much ego to not worry about how he will look in history.

Although when he hits pasture.....he will find out. Not many will be flocking to him for any advice.

Why not? Russians vs. Afghanistan. We armed the mujahadeen. How'd that work out?

Let me think about this now. We probably have a lot of common interests with these Islamic rebels. Well, maybe not. We like the local oils and that's not olive oils. Wowser, geopolitics and energy control for that Neocon empire building program. Oil, gas, pipelines, ports, distribution and a bonanza for CORPORATIONS performing those functions. And then there is the concept that if you can't back your money with gold, you back it with your military. Pretty complicated stuff, but I don't think it's about freedom, liberty, and justice for all, eh?

What if he intends to satisfy his ego and establish his place in history by cutting the USA down a few notches.

After all I'm hard pressed to find a past influence of his who didn't feel that way ...

No, once you hand weapons out and conduct training you can't control where those weapons end up and who those you train end up training. The Middle East is the last place you can trust to arm and train any group.

I'm surprised so many Conservatives are against it...I thought that Obama not helping the rebels was a main criticism from the right?

So how much did we spend training the Iraq troops that ran from ISIS? My answer to the poll is NO.
