Nothing except for the fact it is hard to spread and people get very sick quickly and aren't able to spread it. It's only slightly harder to get HIV but more deadly we don't go all chicken little whenever we see someone with HIV.

I don't know if a quarantine is called for at this point, but I do know that it seems strange to me and many others that people are flying from various west African starting points and when they land in Europe, Canada, the US, they suddenly have symptoms and are rushed to quarantine in hospitals in those locations and tested. So far, I don't believe any cases have been found here or in the US, other than the doctors/nurses mentioned, but seems to me it would be nice if there was some more structured travel restrictions in place from these and neighbouring countries where the outbreak is detected.

Several years back, Canada and Toronto in particular suffered from a serious SARS outbreak that was the result of infected people traveling into Canada from the Middle East resulting in several people dying, including many healthcare workers.

I tend to believe they do.

But putting it into action is a whole nother matter.

Businesses can have as many procedures as they can fit into a booklet but when the time comes, procedures are only as good as the precise incident described occurs.

It ignores nuance and the true unpredictability of human behavior, both by those affected and those trying to enforce.

Ebola is not as hard to spread as HIV. If it were doctors treating it wouldn't wear hazmat suits.

I dont know what you are speaking to here.

    Businesses??

Nuance and unpredictability of human behavior? The govt knows pretty much how they're going to react: the public and at least some of those tasked with controlling them (the latter will fail and abandon their posts/responsibilities).

The circumstances and contingencies and scenarios have been expanded on in fiction for decades...

I don't think a quarantine is needed presently but I do think I might be a good idea to start talking about so if it is required at some point, we'll be mentally and emotionally prepared.

Hell YES. This isn't a political issue...IT'S A MEDICAL ISSUE.
Liberalismódividing up the EARNED wealth of honest, hard working and ingenious AMERICANS and giving it to the leeches who would rather waste their worthless lives living off the government teat.
