Who should be embarrassed by the drunken Palin brawl the most?

This is embarassing for:

Okay. You have a point. Yet, Republicans haven't cornered the market on ignorance or low life actions. In fact, the Democrats try to set a new low every time I look at the news.

I just think it's sad that you keep bringing up people like the Palins, when most of us, on either side of the political spectrum, really don't care. All you're doing is helping her make money. Think about that before you post about her again. She makes money as long as her name is in the news and talked about by people like you.

You brought up Edwards. Palin's ignorance pales in comparison to the evil of that man and what he did to his wife, and my state. However, you held him up as an example of how the right would jump on someone like Palin. What she and her family could ever do, could never be compared to what that scumbag did.

Look, I never liked her. I thought she made a great speech at the convention, but other than that, she worried the hell out of me. And, the more I learned about her, the more concerned I became. But... she's not on any ballot now, and probably never will be. She's a telemarketer for her own brand trying to make money for herself. Not much different than many others on the left as well.

To use her as a standard for good, or bad as you are, is nothing but pure ignorance demonstrated by either position.

Get over her and move on. I have.
Palin may be somewhat of a dunce, but no dumber than any democrat I have ever met. On the scumbag meter, Edwards is a 10. Not only did democrats vote for him in droves, the moron who picked him for VP is essentially running our foreign policy. Which, I might add, doesn't say much for the moron who appointed Kerry to that position. Palin (perhaps luckily) never made it to power. Leftist morons like Obama and Kerry did, however.

Really? Can't think of a single Democrat smarter than Palin? Really?

The Palin clan continues their Jerry Springer antics, this time beating up people at a party and generally trashing the place.

All of the Palins, including her divorced child, both highschool dropouts (or are there three now?) and apparently a couple of the out of wedlock kids, were all at a party and it turned ugly. Just like the traditional families we all strive to be in.

This half term governor/reality show failure/Ivanka Trump wannabee is sure showing us why a McCain/Palin vote would have been a disaster for the nation.

Sarah Palin's Family Allegedly in Alaska House Party Brawl - ABC News

While I'm sure we'll have some relexive defenders from the usual suspects, who do you think should be most aghast at this latest event?

The only people who should be embarrassed are the people directly involved. Only boobs and idiots think the actions of a family one didn't choose reflect on anyone other than the person(s) involved.

Just curious. What do you think?

She is not a caricature. She's real. And she really was nominated for Vice President. And despite the obvious character flaws,
almost half the country voted for her
.

Irresponsible people shouldn't be running government. I bring this story up as a public service to remind us all of this fact.

Never forget.

Half of the voters in the USA are dumber that the other half and that whole crew flips coins and decides who runs the USA.

Think about that a little bit.

The only thing worse than democracy is everything else.

When the Obama Administration really gets to be embarrassing then it's time to talk about the Palins, I guess.

Anyone who's never been involved in a similar kerfuffle may have missed out on a lot of fun and laughter.

Sometimes, once in a while, everyone needs to let their hair down. But not every weekend.

Actually, this question was prompted by my seeing some 'news' search results in Google and noticing several articles in the foreign press.

I thought about the people sitting in Turkey right now, or Lebanon, picking up a morning paper and reading about how the US people almost elected this chick and put her family into the Blair House, right behind an old man who has health problems and a history of cancer. And she came thisclose to having a guy follow her around with the nuclear suitcase. The Iranians read this stuff too... and many realize its not a caricature of the decadent West.

And these same people elect the leaders of their nations (Iran is different, I know, but public sentiment is important)... the same leaders who have to decide if they want to ally with the US in dropping bombs on groups right near their own borders.

Its a bit embarassing for everyone, I think.

Be your criteria, politicians have been embarrassing "everyone" for quite some time. The two that come to my mind as being among the worse would be Bill Clinton and John Edwards. Then there's Teddy Kennedy, of course. Personally, I don't think they embarrass us, I think they embarrass themselves. (Oh, and I'm sure there are plenty of Republicans to go around, but these popped into my head.)

everyone who uses this story for political hackery.

i'm also upset that there is not an "i like potatoes" option.

So does that mean you dismiss this incident because Palin is a republican?

everyone who uses this story for political hackery.

Fair enough, would you say the same when republicans post a thread used for political hackery about the failings of a democratic family.

My Golden Retriever (who is a Democrat) is smarter than Palin and all of her trailer trash family put together.

Well, if you're searching for Republicans, I can give you the current Republican senator from Louisiana, who had a regular session with a prostitute on his schedule. And then there's the former governor of north carolina and current congressman who had a mistress on the side while he was 'walking the Appalachian trail'.

Who the **** cares what Sarah and her family does?

They are almost as bad as the Kardashians

She wasnt elected.....you can stop using her and her family as political fodder

Both side of the aisles have their crazies and idiots

I'm not sure why anyone should be embarrassed by someone else's actions, but that said, I'm not sure why they should be embarrassed either. Seems to me the family stood up for each other and defended themselves quite well. Must be hard being famous in their manner and having people taking shots at you all the time.

I say good for them sticking together and defending each other.

Didn't you get the Clinton inspired memo that a politician's personal sex life is nobody's business and irrelevant - or is that just Democrat's sex lives?

absolutely.

I can give you the name of a democrat from Massachusetts who ran a car into a river and left his mistress to drown....and was still re-elected.

So does that mean you dismiss this incident because Palin is a republican?

No, I'm saying that the incident gets play in the media only because Palin is a Republican and Obama badly needs cover.

Yeah, the press is good at giving cover to presidents when they are talking tough and getting ready to roll out our military. Because we need our flags, our lapel pins, our magnetic car ribbons and our we "support the troops" signs in the yard. Rah RAH America! Round three in the ME.

Btw, a story like this would get play no matter what famous family it was or their political bias.
