Yeah right. Besides, Congress went after him for abusing his office (the various gates), crooked sweetheart deals (Hillary's deals with Rose Law Firm) AND later perjury.

Really anyone who was an adult and politically aware at the time knew Ford would pardon Nixon.
Of course; I suspected he would as well and that was the outrage: Nixon just walked away. He should have gone to jail!

As for Woodward? The man assisted in breaking one of the biggest stories of the 20th century, so I'm not sure what you're trying to say about him.

They got Al Capone for tax evasion. And no, the people who repeat the lame reframe still look stupid every time they repeat it.

They impeached a sitting president over a bj and made this country the laughing stock of the western world.

Gee, high standards and how they hold us back.

*IF* we were a "laughing stock"... which I dispute, but we'll run with it for conversation sake... then it was Clinton's fault for being dumb enough to get caught and dumb enough to lie about it. If something is clearly against the law, which perjury is, and Clinton knew the law, you can't reasonably fault others for wanting to enforce said law. If you do, your thinking is misplaced.

If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.

Yeah, Nixon wiretapped and Clinton used the power of his office against his political enemies, did crooked deals through his wife's old buddies AND lied under oath. If you really don't see that as a valid reason for impeachment, there no helping you.
