This is a simple question. I hear it stated, but don't see the stories that
back it up. So you could answer true, false or I don't care.

Is it true the White House sent no one to General Harold Greene's
Arlington service? And yet this same white house sent 3 employees
to the thug's funeral in Ferguson?

Thug?

Yes someone who takes other property and uses his size and ability to do so is a thug. I'm entitled to that opinion don't like it tough. He's a thug. I'd tell his mom that, his dad that, and anyone who disagrees is certainly free to do so but to me he is (or was) a thug. Now that you illustrate your bias why not answer the question?

I was not aware he had a criminal record. Is that true?

I'm sure the General was a nice man. His death is a flagrant failure of the "Training" program he was in charge of . Does that make his death his own fault? I don't know.

It appears to be untrue as Chuck Hagel did attend Green'e's funeral.

Whether anyone from the WH went to the General's funeral, to me, is not the question.

TO me, the question is... WHY did the White House send high ranking officials to the funeral of Michael Brown in the first place? Why?

A police officer, a young and promising youth, that was also a Lance Corporal in the USMC reserves, died recently (died in the line of duty as a police officer) after being shot in the face, by a habitual drug felon, violent felon and sex offender... and no one from the White House showed up. Why?

Here's a picture of the officer:

Here's a picture of his killer, who also shot another officer in the leg before being shot to death himself (picture from the FL sex offender's data base):

So... tell me... PLEASE... Why did the White House send someone to Michael Brown's funeral and not this young officer's funeral?

If you want to have a discussion about his thug like behavior start your own thread. This is about our regime choosing to honor this THUG instead of one of its Generals.

That's good; I'm glad to hear that, but is Hagel a white house employee or a DOD employee? I guess
we'd have to see if his paycheck is from the DOD or the "executive branch?" Either way I'm glad to
hear this is true. The general certainly deserves better then a thug.

So he wasnt a thug but you want to start a thread calling him one, and when someone points out the very heart of your OP is wrong, you say go start another thread. And a high ranking official did go to the Generals funeral. Next thread fact check first.

"Although neither President Obama nor Vice President Joe Biden attended Gen. Greene's funeral, a high-ranking Obama administration official was present. As the military publication Stars and Stripes noted in its reporting of the funeral, U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel attended the ceremony and met with Greene's family: "

Pretty sure General Odierno works for the president as the Army Chief of Staff. Ray Odierno is part of the presidents National Security Team

President Barack Obama Fills Out His New National Security Team | The White House

Also, secretary Chuck Hagel is a cabinet member of Obama which also someone who works for the president.

Both of these heavy weights far outweigh the importance of 2 people working at the white house office of public engagement and Broderick Johnson, chairman of the My Brother's Keeper Task Force. I think sending him was a very good idea, to prevent more young people from misbehaving.

Wow. Lotta fail in this thread.

Chuck Hagel isn't from the Obama White House.
He works in the Pentagon.

Secretary of Defense is a cabinet office and the proper high ranking White House employee to send to a Generals funeral. You people have no shame, you politicize even a tragic death in a putrid failed attempt to discredit our President.

Some people are in such a big hurry to try to slam President Obama they don't have time to do a little fact-checking.

Just out of curiosity where did you hear this from? Was it from that "trusted" news organization?

No, I didn't politicize the Generals death, I just happen to know how the military chain of command works and Obama and Valerie Jarrett don't.

Now if Obama would have had the White House chef attend the funeral, one could argue that the Obama White House did have someone attend the funeral.

It's a cabinet level position and he was sent by Obama, which is what is mentioned in the OP. Additionally in all of the places, (mostly chain emails), in which this story has run, it talks about how Obama did not send himself, the vice-president, or the Secretary of Defense to the funeral. The fact that his office is in the Pentagon rather than the White House seems like a meaningless distinction to me.

Since it also appears to be true that neither Nixon nor Bush attended the funerals of the last active generals to die, I really can't find fault with how Obama handled General Greene's funeral.

It was Obama's PC rules of engagement that are responsable for over half of the American deaths in Afghanistan.

What the OP is really about is that Obama sent three individuals who actually work with inside the Obama White House to a funeral for a criminal who robbed a convenience store. Nobody from the White House attended the General's funeral, nobody. The Pentagon is not the White House.

I seriously doubt Obama ordered Hagel to attend the General's funeral, Hagel is part of the military chain of command just like Obama is and Hagel fulfilled his duty as Sec. of Defense while as usual Obama was derelict in his duties as CnC.

I was not aware he had a criminal record. Is that true?

There is a video showing a 6' 4" 290 pound street thug committing a strong arm robbery and an accomplice who did have a criminal record.
