Does the US face an attack from ISIS, and if so why?

I think we DO-they wont play nice when they are being defeated in Iraq, and tragically I expect we WILL experience a major attack. I think we should never have pulled out of Iraq and allowed this movement of evil to threaten the USA. The war on terror is not over, and we must remain vigilant.
Certainly Americans abroad are in danger, particularly in the Middle East. Though I think the likelihood of an attack on American soil is unlikely within the next year. Though anything is possible, it seems as if ISIS is content to hunt and capture Americans in the field and use them as political leverage. And there are also very fundamental divides within ISIS, and it appears, at least for now, that the bulk of the unification of the group is the establishment of the caliphate. But as this situation develops, things could certainly change. But at present, I wouldn't be too worried.

Do not underestimate the amount of stupid these guys possess. They are shooting people for smoking.

James Foley was simply the first and as long as we keep doing the same things over and over then the so-called war on terror will never end.

If the US truly wants to stop terror attacks against its own citizens then they have to adopt a non-interventionist foreign policy. Other people dont hate us because of our freedoms- thats bull**** neocon propaganda, they hate us because we meddle in other countries. We need to stop minding other people's business. We create our own Frankenstein monsters- and Americans are dying for nothing because of it.
I dont see this as realistic. Lefty ideology has taken us here. Obama allowed this to happen.

Terrorists can hide among the civilian population so thats pointless. Also the Russians tried carpet bombing in Afghanistan, didnt work either.

The problem is nausea and an international system of treaties that does not fit the bill. We can stop that force no matter, where it hides. But it makes me sick to think about the way it would look.

Has anyone checked to see if this is photoshopped?

You can try and commit genocide but you wont be able to kill everybody, the Nazis tried that. Other nations and other groups will rise up against you so thats not the answer either. You want peace, then leave other people alone.

No, the Nazis did not try that. They tried something quite different.

But you are absolutely right, peace and safty are short lived. It is like going to the doctors'. You are healed till the next time and the next and the next and you die.

You will, however, find that if you wash and brush and floss you will do better and see the doctor's office less often. It is the same in international security. Bush's incursions woke the UN membership up and they introduced r2p into the codex. That was a remarkable step toward a better global structure for security. And we need a better structure or we will go down as sure as they say Amen in church. I think, we might need another head banger. What do you say?
