    No, Hoover made the FBI.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

"Politicians" have a lot of room to talk.
"Liberalism is a doctrine fostered by a delusional and illogical people and rabidly promoted by the mainstream media and ruling elite which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." - unknown

Yes. He was a complete bastard who conducted witch hunts within the fbi itself. The fbi may wish to defend his name as part of their legacy, but this is the same excuse used by every asshole ever. Nothing is perfect, so they should accept he was a disgrace and distance themselves from that. If not, as a public agency the name should be removed forcefully.

Hoover was a jerk and likely a peeping Tom.

Yes, it should be removed. Although Hoover did some good things in his early years, he did many awful things that go against the most basic values of this nation. Blackmailing politicians and political leaders is a treasonous corruption of democracy. CointelPro was also an abomination. Considering his actions, it is quite possible he was involved with the assassination of MLK Jr, and possibly other killings.

It was Yale, later Harvard for a graduate degree. He got in with the traditional form of affirmative action.
