What that says, is "I don't think. I only react". That's the damn shame of it all.

Yeah, racism is part of it. At this point I'd say it's more the institutional kind of racism where people of one race just assume that people of another race hate them....and it's going both ways.

Yeah, it's police injustice because I've seen cops being assholes but when you get right down to it, they're dealing with assholes on the other side. The problem is that they're lowering themselves to that level.

Yeah, it's cultural differences. Folks in Ferguson apparently don't think twice about incidental crime. It's just part of their daily life and others don't understand that.

Yeah, it's class warfare. Blacks are feeling like they're a subset of American culture. Of course all this crap in Ferguson isn't exactly going to change that point of view.

And yeah, it's crazy people. How ANYBODY could figure that this kind of behavior is productive or positive or reminiscent of the civil rights struggle is absolutely bat**** crazy.

Do tell...how is my thinking he is a race baiting puss bag, someone who has been and is silent on the day to day violence and crime that TRULY plagues black America, and because I think he is as vile as say...you...'racist'?

This has nothing to do with the validity of what is being protested, this instead is a complaint about how they choose to protest. Don't confuse the two

Who cares about the "validity of the debate" in this instance? Out of all of the people confusing the two you choose me? That only indicates that you haven't read posts on the subject in this thread. We are not confusing the two... I have been very clear that the validity of the debate is irrelevant to how and when people choose to complain/protest.

    I do.

No it is not irrelevant. If you choose to allow yourself to be distracted by "how" people choose to protest you are loosing sight of the real problem and indirectly appear to be judging the validity of their outrage

But for the fact that said debacle suffices as an excuse, in the minds of the looters. I don't believe for one second that they're emotionally invested, much less ideologically motivated.

    Re: Ferguson

Know what? There's a problem. It's a biggie, too, and it ain't going away, much as anyone wants to deny and minimize and gloss over with nice-sounding words. Someone said it's more about poverty than race and that's nearly a summary that I can get behind but it's still about race, a little bit.
Or mostly, I can't say, not being American.
