I have seen some stretches attempting to make a person appear correct before but this one might take the cake...

We live in a society of laws, we have all voted, or have agreed by our presence in the society, to be accountable to those laws. We have also voted, or have agreed by our presence in the society, to respect the law-enforcement systems that are in place. We elect politicians to represent our interests and to pass laws that collectively represent the will of the people. This is how our society and system of government works. Did you miss all of this in civics class?
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Wrong. Their orders are backed by the law.

Many times though cops issue orders without the backing of law hoping to catch a person breaking a law that will justify their orders after the fact.

Falls under the "suspicion of" category...

Once again, they are not hired to make up their own orders. Their role is to enforce laws, protect personal property, and limit disorder.

I'm pretty sure MaggieD posted an exact duplicate poll like this. Why the hell does DP allow duplicate threads? What a waste of space.

Anyways, yes, cops should have cameras (for the second time).

Yes, they absolutely should. I think it would cut down drastically on police abuse, and in cases where an officer was falsely accused of abuse, it would quickly exonerate them.

Sure. I missed it. Years of actually teaching it too... and I missed it.

If you know the difference between a direct and indirect democracy you understand the difference between the police and the rest of the non-police citizens.

Who ever said that they are making up their own orders? I think that a few hear need basic reading revision...

A few "hear" (here) need spelling revision too.

I'll say it again. They aren't going out deciding what is the law today. That isn't their job. Their job is to uphold the laws.

Ah, you're one of those paranoid crazies that think that the government is some alien entity out to get them. Gotcha.
