Do You Think It's Ironic that the Republicans chose to sue Obama over ACA?[W:109]

Maybe it's just me, but I can't help be struck by the irony that the Republican's should chose the issue of the President 'delaying' portions of the ACA as the basis for their civil law suit

Hmm, clearly my 'add a poll' ability seems somewhat impaired. I intended to add a Yes/No question

I can't help but be struck by the irony of President Obama and his administration constantly creating exemptions, waivers and delays, keeping the full impact of his "best ever" piece of legislation from those who've been waiting for it.

In a way it would seem so, while shedding light on the fact, that things that are bad can be made worse by the way they are executed.

    Love the Dr. Evil Icon.

The Republicans are probably pretty sure the case won't have legs, but the timing of it seems pretty sure to find it and the midterms in the news at the same time.

It's possible that these dullard, plodding, mental sloths have come up with something that will thrust the Obamacare problems into the consciousness of those that will be voting.

I'm not sure how this can even work.

Does this need to go to court to determine if it can go to court?
I am not of the mind that a man is either of science or of religion. At his best and his worst, man exists in the misty glimmering where the falling angel meets the rising ape. That he chooses a direction from that point defines him as human.

From my perspective, it can go to court and it will go to court. The deadline both for the individual mandate and the employer mandate under the ACA legislation has passed and by regulation the Obama administration has delayed full implementation, contrary to the written provisions of the act. As a result, the administration has taken unilateral action to ignore the legislative will of congress without seeking congressional amendment to the act. The case is in relationship to the powers of the executive to overrule the powers of congress to legislate. Other suits have gone to court challenging executive powers, so why not this one?

I think we should start a class action suit against Congress.

This is the important stuff. We canít get lost in discrimination. We canít get lost in B.S. We canít get lost tearing each other down. I want to make a point here that no matter what you look like, where you come from, how you worship, who you love, how you identify, and yeah, how you run, that if you have good public policy ideas, if you are well qualified for office, bring those ideas to the table, because this is your America, too. This is our commonwealth of Virginia, too.

Actually, operant conditioning shows that denial of reinforcements results in a negative association.
