They want it implemented before the 2014 elections so the businesses that will get dinged for not adhering to the new rules will hate all things Democratic, especially candidates.

Its freaking crazy, I know. I'm trying to hold out hope that my party returns to the reason I joined it in the first place, because they were about doing what was right, standing on principle, etc.

But Obama was the one delaying the mandate. How can democrats get the blame for the mandate that the republicans sued Obama over for not being implemented?

Face it. Honest Liberals are nervous about what the King is doing.

Did you really call him King? Good grief. You don't know anything about honesty.

They can't be, but won't stop the Repubs from claiming it, promoting it too their minions, repeating it so often ... gee, just like we see their minions spouting stuff here. Some people are easily and willingly ignorant.

And primarily because of tribalism; he's not one of us, has no business being President and we must make sure he fails.
Seems to me it is standing on principle to oppose the President rewriting legislation from the Oval Office. Obama could have just as easily walked down the street or called up Boehner and Reid and said he'd like to see them amend the ACA to provide for different implementation dates or more open ended language, in that way respecting the role of the different branches of government. What's wrong with demanding protection of the legislative branch's role in governance?

Does the executive branch have the right to use discretion when implementing the law?

Your quote proves that Summerwind's claim about how the decision was about whether or not the Senate was actually in recess was correct, and disproves CJ's claim that it was about whether or not the president has the power to declare the Senate in recess.

Indeed, they do. The issue, as I understand it however is that the ACA specifically identifies dates for implementation of certain aspects. By not following those dates, the executive is not following the letter of the law and may actually be causing financial damage to government revenues that result from the implementation.

There is a limit to discretion, however. Surely you wouldn't believe that the executive could alter any legislation in any way they choose as an element of implementation/application of that law.
