It's ironic that those who championed the bill, those who told Americans the bill had to be passed before reading it, it was so good, those who claimed once passed, the American public would come to love the contents and impact of the bill on Americans' lives, are the same people who are doing everything in their power to delay the full impact of the bill on Americans and American businesses.

Since Boehner and the House voted to delay, I guess they must be one of those who championed the bill.

After all, according to you they are the same people.

Actually it only allows for individual hardships and the way its phrased individual employers. It does not allow for delaying implementation of the whole thing.

And it doesn't delay implementation of the whole thing. They only do two things - allow for individual hardships and delays reporting requirements for employers - both of which the law explicitly allows

Those are called delays.

On a case by case basis. You're ignoring the fact that there is a difference between delaying it for everyone regardless of circumstances and getting hardship exemptions on a case by case basis. Those clauses you show are about case by case hardship exemptions. If it did allow for it then Obama would not have had to write an EO to delay it for the simple fact that the Secretary of Health and Human Services could have done it by his/her self.

They didn't delay it for everyone. If you don't get a hardship exemption, than the individual mandate still applies to you

That's because the individual mandates has not been delayed

Obama is advocating his own impeachment?
Don't you think he'd love it if they impeached him?

Re: Do You Think It's Ironic that the Republicans chose to sue Obama over ACA?

I don't really much care that they tried to sue Obama.

Anyone that actually thinks that either party gives a rat's buttocks about the masses (except on Election Day) is so staggeringly naive as to be beyond measurement on a naive meter.

When will the public get it...90+% of these people in Washingtin do not give a sh!t about you and are near-totally useless at running a country.

And don't just blame the politicians...the head bureaucrats are just as bad.

IMO, partisan politics is for the ignorant.

Re: Do You Think It's Ironic that the Republicans chose to sue Obama over ACA?

Ironic? No. They should have forced full implementation from day one. Instead, Obama has purposely delayed the impact of implementation until after the 2014 midterms. Hey...behold the power of the executive order. He cant make new law, he can just dictate if existing law is enforced. So...the GOP is left with suing to force him to defend the fact that after all the rhetoric and all the celebration, why would he refuse to actually implement these hard fought gains with worthy legislation?

actually he invoked this

26 U.S. Code § 7805 - Rules and regulations

26 U.S. Code § 7805 - Rules and regulations | LII / Legal Information Institute

Except where such authority is expressly given by this title to any person other than an officer or employee of the Treasury Department, the Secretary shall prescribe all needful rules and regulations for the enforcement of this title, including all rules and regulations as may be necessary by reason of any alteration of law in relation to internal revenue.

Same difference.

I think the OP is rather ironic. I think it is ironic that people find it ironic that the GOP is suing to IMPLEMENT the 'ACA" and they DONT find it ironic that the very people that passed it and tout its success refuse to implement it. MORE ironic that people that CELEBRATE its passage are now gleeful and extremely grateful it is NOT being implemented. Ironic and...theres another '..ronic' that applies there as well.

Irony meter...destroyed.

No, he has more important issues to address.
