Executive Discretion: is it important for government to have?

    this is an discussion-driven question.

do you know what the concept of executive discretion and how it is used in government?

if you don't know, just select no and move on to other more understandable topics.

there are two yes options because it is a two part question.

the first yes is an acknoledgement of what the concept is.

the second yes/no is for answering the follow up question, Do government agencies have the ability to use discretion?

There's no blanket answer. It depends on what was granted to them by their state or the federal Legislature. Some do, some don't. Some are explicitly spelled out, others are more due to their purview which grants them wide discretion.

it is a important to know what it is related to a lot of arguments over governmental power.

Well you're not indicating what it's related to so I can't address that. I can address that the topic is too broad for a yes or no answer as currently presented.
