Australian senator's ideal man: rich and 'well-hung'

Would you?

Because it is disrespectful inappropriate behaviour on a morning show, that's why.

The truth is disrespectful? Okay.

I'll tell you what shocked me: The fact that the hosts actually wasted everyone's time asking a politician about her shaving habits. Wtf kinda useless questions are those anyway? What, they couldn't get some brainless model on there to ask those questions to?

Any legal behavior that hurts no one (and offending thin-skinned people does not count) is completely acceptable to me.

She could have said that she wanted to do the entire local sports team, one by one for all I care.

Politician's are about policies...not morality.

Anyone that thinks politician's should be role models is, IMO, naive.

Exactly, any moral basis for laws are invalid and should be discarded.

Just because she's a politician doesn't mean she can't be brainless.

The truth can be disrespectful. Yes. Do you need some examples or can you figure that out on your own?

Australian senator's ideal man: rich and 'well-hung'

Is it okay to be this revealing and honest as a politician or not politically correct? It skates the line of acceptable behavior but doesn't seem worthy of too much fuss?
Senator Lambie's qualifications for the "ideal man" just might eliminate an equal number of likely voters come re-election time_

Unless of course the majority of Tasmanian men are "rich and well-hung"?! :giggle1:

you mean lots of women who aren't well hung won't vote for her?

I think she was making a joke, but I also doubt she prefers the opposite qualities...lol

How many women on this planet are desperately searching for poor guys with tiny penises to hook up with?

Any ideas on that?

Is there a big demand for men like that?

Have any 'studies' been done?

Wow Turtle; you definitely nailed that one_ :liar2

I see your reading comprehension is up to usual par_ :giggle1:

Just going on what you actually said

What she said was the equivalent of a man saying he would only date women
with a big trust fund and big, natural boobs (or tits).

I don't know about Australia, but saying something that sexist in the US would
probably be enough to end a man's political career. A woman might get some
affirmative action slack
.

History shows that it certainly wouldn't help a man.

Agreed. I don't think "offensive" is the right word, as some here have used, but I am struck by the crassness of the remark from someone in such an esteemed position as senator.

The remark shows a momentary lack of class and dignity unbecoming of her position, and she ought to be embarrassed.

If we didn't have some of the 'class and dignity' that we have on this planet we would be better off.

.....really_

how would that "eliminate voters" without including women?

are you saying she wouldn't want to have sex with these voters and therefore they wouldn't VOTE for her?

I'm just stunned that a politician accidentally told the truth.

That's a first in history, isn't it?
Pity it wasn't about something important..
.

Some people on this planet think that their penis and their money are pretty important.

In which case there might be a surge in the number of female tourists visiting Tasmania.

I was talking about this particular instance. Given the questions posed to her and the general tone of the interview, how was she disrespectful again? This seems to be all about insecure men and their tiny little ... egos.

If a male politician said something similar like "my ideal woman is blonde, busty and young" I would not have a problem.

The problem would be in how the hypothetical male politician said it. I don't want to give an example, but we can all imagine. ;)

In the context of the interview, it was obviously a joke made to cover her being put on the spot about her relationship status, and I don't think she has anything to apologize for. If a man were in the identical situation, as long as he played it tongue in cheek like she did, and didn't use offensive or denigrating language, I don't think I'd be offended.

In this particular instance is she not making sexual comments to strangers in a public setting? Do you do that? Talk about guys being well hung. It has nothing to do with insecurity and everything to do with sounding like trash. You don't find that disrespectful? I might be sitting there watching my favourite morning show with my daughters and here she comes making those comments and you don't find that inappropriate? Not sure that you and I have talked much about anything in the past but it sounds like you need to rethink your morals and get a better understanding of etiquette because what she did is trashy.

You're certainly entitled to your own opinion on the matter. Doesn't change mine.

Sure. And yours is incorrect, childish and disrespectful towards men that think her comments are inappropriate...
