Would you?

Meh. It's not like she's any kind of "great catch" herself here, if we're being honest.

^ Right, so let's denigrate her appearance, which has no relevance to anything in this story?

People are too hyper-critical, especially prudes. The comment was made, the world is not collapsing and the government is still functioning... move on with your life.

She made a shallow comment regarding the kinds of men she finds desirable.

What's the harm in turning the same standards around on her? I'm only being "honest."

Edit:

More seriously, yes, it was obviously meant to be a joke. However, the fact that there is a "gender double standard" at play here is pretty hard to deny.

Hey, turnabout is fair play. I do agree that the whole thing is much ado about nothing, though. Lol @ first world problems.

Considering she has two kids by two different fathers, avoided a peace-keeping tour with the Australian Army, and has joined the stupidest political party currently in Australian politics, she wouldn't be much of a catch regardless of what she looked like.

She is most definatly trash. You forgot to mention her sons' trouble with the law and being up before a magistrate, her addiction to painkillers, her stint in a psychiatric hospital and attempted suicide and her general lack of intelligence. I often just shake my head at the thought that idiots could elect idiots like this to the Senate. A group of twits who got a handful of votes can effectively run Australia. Palmer is a dangerous arsehole so it is no surprise she decided to join him!

ROFL!

I'm so totally going to turn this situation into an erotica story:

"And I don't need them to speak, they don't even need to speak."

LOL - right on, baby doll - I hear ya.

The double standard towards men may not be as valid, because of how the sexes view a potential 'stereotypical' mate in their earlier years. Men are more about the looks and chemistry, whereas the women are looking for security and interesting personalities.

So money (steady career), yes to some degree. But, I don't believe females are hung up on the looks as much as males.

Teenage girls are much more picky about 'heart throb' boyish appearances (Bieber) but they're also immature. Part of the point is males stay a little superficial longer as a rule in looking for dating material, while women seem to weed out the losers quicker.

Almost nobody is looking for unattractive mates, though it's amazing the variety of what's considered appealing. The old saying "there's someone out there for everyone".

Grow thicker skin. I make no apologies and neither should that Australian woman.

I am not upset about your rudeness... but you should still feel regret at being rude.

I am critical of her comments and it has nothing to do with being a prude and everything to do with common respect. That said, I am free to comment on it and you are free to move on with your life and ignore it. Bye.

Fortunately for me , I meet one of her criteria.
