Did Your Employer Consider The Bush Tax Cuts Your Raise?

I've been retired for all that time so I can't answer the question for myself, but I've always wondered if many employers have done this. Possibly you haven't thought about this or can't be sure. So here is your chance to think about it. Of course you might be the employer and have done this yourself.

As a supervisor, Last year I requested for my workers an additional 2% increase after the SS rates went back up. This is because the increase in the medical insurance and the end in the SS Tax break had some of the guys receiving a net loss after their raises were issued!

Taxes are part of corporate optimization that determines , what the owner will do. There is some discretion, of course, but the fundamental problem structure is rather well understood.
