No. Change the laws, simplify the tax code, and file the IRS' fangs down to the gum by restricting their power to harm people and not have to answer for their actions? Oh yeah.
Everything in your life is a reflection of a choice you have made. If you want a different result, don't blame someone else, or expect others to make a change, you should stop complaining and make a different choice. Remember, the circumstances of your birth don't determine the outcome of your life.

A flat tax is much more punitive to the poor. So no, I don't agree with that.

I could see the logic behind narrowing the tax brackets and their relative rates of taxation.

The only way a flat tax would be remotely approaching fair would be to also eliminate all tax deductions, but retaining the EITC.

I do agree with Gary Johnson on some things ... I'd consider voting for him if he was not a Republican.

Abolishing the IRS is not something I would do. Someone has to collect taxes, someone has to make sure people are not cheating on them, someone has to report revenue to the federal government, unless we're not going to have a federal government. As Redress said, if the IRS is wiped out of existence, who does it?

Having voted for him last go around and despite disagreeing with him on a few issues I still think he's the best person out there.

As for the IRS I have to agree with Redress, pouring syrup on shyte don't make it pancakes...

Well, that's definitely true, the "complexity" of the tax code does keep a lot of people employed. WHY DO YOU WANT TO KILL JOBS, KITCHER

An extremely poor idea ...imagine the tax load on the poor(primarily) and the middle class ..
And I question ..Is the IRS corrupt ?

    Abolish entirely? No.

But now that they've made my defense of them in the last few years look like total tripe I do question their capacity to - well - do anything they're supposed to do.

I don't' support the construct of the IRS.

I opposed everyone who followed along with the rotten leaders.
