With all of the problems facing this nation right now and the day to day struggles of the average American it's somewhat disturbing to see people obsessed with Lebron James and his decision regarding where he's going to play basketball.

People have been gathering outside his home for days.

It's ridiculous.

Do you give a damn?

Not really. I'm peripherally aware of what he's doing, but don't care enough to look or read anything about it.

I'm not really a basketball fan, so no. I would think the only people who really care are his fans.

What's ridiculous is any person who gets upset about any American paying attention to the LBJ sweepstakes. If you don't give a damn about it, don't pay attention to it. Focus on what YOU are doing to help fix whatever problems you believe we have. Sports are a leisure activity to have fun with--have fun .

I'm just waiting for him get old, come out as gay and then complain that no one will give him a contract because he is gay.

Not really...but I give a dman about spelling.

;)

Actually, I think it's cool that he is going back to the Cavs.

It is truly disturbing that so many people have lives which include interests other than politics.

Its hard to keep up with racing, fishing, shooting, drinking, hot rods, lawns and so on and so on and so on. Wears you out.

I might not mind basketball so much if not for all the fouls. That just gets annoying.

This is the lamest **** I've seen on this forum in a while.

If you don't care, don't talk about it and don't dwell on it. Get over yourself. Ugh.

I don't, but I am not an NBA fan either. But most people are not political junkies like those of us on DP. Most of them do not give a care about politics. Heck only a bit over half of all Americans bothered to vote in a presidential election and only around 35% will vote this midterm. Sports, reality TV or what have you is a way to ease one's frustrations for what goes on in their daily lives. All politics do is make you more frustrated.

Another way to put it, your average sports fan really cares who wins the super bowl or world series etc. but ask them if they care who becomes the next president, I bet most of them says no.

A slight one. LOL Dumb decision IMHO but its his choice, not mine. Must be nice to have employers fighting over which one gets to pay you $20 million a year.

It's disturbing that some would camp outside his home, it's not disturbing or strange at all that basketball fans and sports fans in general would take an interest in the best player in the world.

And now you are complaining about someone else complaining about everyone else paying attention to something they don't care about.

Thou art no better.

Well, you're here! :2razz:

What are you talking about? I voted that I do care seeing as I'm a Heat fan and have been since I was kid since I live in South Florida. Yada, yada, yada.

Not a very clever response at all

More silliness.

You said it was the lamest *bleep* you've seen on the forum in a while.

Last time I had a dman, I lost it playing in a game of poker with some Air Force guys.

I'm afraid I no longer have a dman to give.
