Last time I had a dman, I lost it playing in a game of poker with some Air Force guys.
I'm afraid I no longer have a dman to give.
With all of the problems facing this nation right now and the day to day struggles of the average American it's somewhat disturbing to see people obsessed with Lebron James and his decision regarding where he's going to play basketball.
People have been gathering outside his home for days.
It's ridiculous.
Do you give a damn?
I'm just waiting for him get old, come out as gay and then complain that no one will give him a contract because he is gay.

YES, those of us in NE Ohio very much give a damn, and we are glad he's coming back home! He grew up in the Akron, Ohio area, graduated from a local high school, married a local girl, and has two young sons, and he kept his home here when he left to play with the Heat. I am overjoyed that he is returning to the Cavaliers! Most franchises were willing to pay him anything to get him, and I'm glad Ohio was his choice! There would have been celebrations in any city that signed him. He's a moneymaker for any team that he plays for - being a tremendous athlete - 8-time NBA All-Star; two-time NBA All-Star MVP; and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist - among other things - and to top it off, he truly is a nice man from a nice family! What's not to like? :2dance:
Greetings, DB20. :2wave:
 I think it's awesome that you like basketball!
I admire LeBron James! I'd like him if he played ping pong. Every year for as long as I can remember, he's thrown a big shindig every Summer for all the kids in this area that want to attend. He has new bikes for every child that attends, and lots of food, because he remembers growing up without a lot of money to go around, and recognizes that many parents just can't afford to buy everything a kid wants. They idolize him, and I congratulate him for his kindness. He spends time playing basketball with them, too, so maybe we'll be seeing another child in the future make it big because of the example he has set. Fair play; no bad language allowed; - just have fun doing what you enjoy! He also sponsors a "bike-a-thon," with the full cooperation of the Police Department, where hordes of kids follow him through the city, on a pre-planned route, on those bikes he gave them - good exercise and it gets them away from TV and video games, at least for one day. Smart man, and a genuinely nice person!
Good morning Polgara! :2wave: Sounds like he's a very busy man!
He makes lots of money playing a game he likes - we should all be that lucky! He owns a beautiful home in the Bath area of Akron, which is a very expensive and exclusive place to live around here, and it's very well maintained. And his neighbors like him! We approve of "a home town boy who done good!" The front page of our paper today is all dedicated to him - and the police have had to put on extra officers to handle the large crowds that have gathered to welcome him home. We got us a CELEBRITY!

The LeBron decision had repercussions throughout all of basketball. It was the deciding factor on whether the Heat would continue on or break up. I would guess perhaps dozens of decisions in just as many teams were dependent on what LeBron decided.
Yes, we should all care. If you don't care, you don't like basketball and are therefore racist.
