Re: Is this Racist?

I assume you were being facetious.

The goal of GOP leadership was to make sure Obama didn't get re-elected. They've been the party of No for a long time now. As far as working with the GOP, remember when Boehner said he got 98% of what he wanted?

Re: Is this Racist?

I don't speak for Conservatives. I don't speak for Libertarians either. I speak for myself and what the facts bear.

alright then.

Re: Is this Racist?

Are outhouses now code for something? Every time I see an outhouse, should I think of black people?

I'm really confused how an outhouse is racist all of a sudden.

What's wrong with saying no to bad policy?

Oh my! Shocking!

Re: Is this Racist?

Yup, his deep hatred for the people who raised him and whom he loved deeply truly shows, as does the fact that he has surrounded himself mainly with white folks in his cabinet and appointed to other positions, including a Supreme Court Justice ... I think you're on to something you dick head ...

I've noticed that conservatives tend to accuse black people in high positions of power of being racist. It's like a defense mechanism.

So they were working together between 2009 and 2013?

I've noticed people make a lot of broad accusations against conservatives. It's like....partisan hackery.

Re: Is this Racist?

Very naive....very partisan.

Obama should have taken a page from Clinton's book and learned how to work with the opposing party. Even Bush 43 did it. Reagan did it. Bush 41 did it. Carter did it. It's been happening for years.

But NONE of those other presidents have had to deal with the level of obstructionism that Obama has.

Look, does Obama control what bills are introduced in and voted on by the House of Representatives? Of course not. But the GOP-controlled House has voted on a record low number of bills, and very, very few bills of actual importance. For instance, the Senate voted on and passed a BIPARTISAN immigration reform bill...but the GOP-controlled House won't even allow it up for a vote.

That, ma'am, is obstructionism plain and simple. Obama has nothing to do with whether the House does or does not vote on a bill. It's not a matter of Obama somehow refusing to work with him - it's a matter of them refusing to work with him...and this was all decided upon the night of his first inauguration.

Actually, I believe the goal was to do what they could to make sure Obama's liberal agenda would fail. It turns out they really didn't have to work that hard. On the other hand, Obama has had some considerable success with the Progressive Agenda that aims towards ruling the people by regulatory fiat.

Re: Is this Racist?

blah blah blah

I suppose if you look for racism everywhere you go you will find racism everywhere you go.

By the way, according to the poll most of the people on this thread believe it's not racist.

I lived in Alabama for five years. Everything he said was correct.

Re: Is this Racist?

You are assuming they perceive things the same way you do.

About race!

What evidence to you have to accuse them of doing this with racial motivation?

That's like asking "What evidence do you have that use of the word 'n***er' is done with racial motivation?"

Re: Is this Racist?

No, they worked together on one issue. Then they decided to try to repeal the ACA dozens upon dozens of times. They knew it wasn't going to happen, but they wanted to put on a show. It sure wasn't working together like adults. House Republicans instead chose to act like petulant children.

What is the 'liberal agenda' exactly?

None of them....?

You're smarter than this. You really think Obama is the first POTUS to face opposition?

Hey, remember when Bush wanted to privatize Social Security?

Hey, remember when Clinton (via his wife) wanted to implement a healthcare reform plan?

Hey, remember when the Democrats opposed Bush's tax cuts (which of course they "reconsidered" in 2012)?

We could go on all day.

Re: Is this Racist?

That wasn't my point. My point was, what would you expect? Duh.

We should expect they work for the whole country. I know, that's too much to ask anymore.

Re: Is this Racist?

Obama invited the divide.

:agree: Calling half the people in this country his "enemies," - and he was referring to Republicans - because they didn't agree with him, sure set a fine example for a POTUS who is supposed to represent all the people, as he swore when he took the Oath of office. The Oath also states that he will, to the best of his ability, "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

He seems to have a bit of a problem with both parts of the Oath, unfortunately.

Greetings, tres borachos. :2wave:

Re: Is this Racist?

I don't think this incident is racist. But I have a question for anyone on the right.

You mention that everything is racist from a liberal perspective. When was the last time you seen something racist towards a minority?

Totally honest question.
