Sometimes for all of our 'patriotism' I think many forget we are the United State of America.
Which is also what we were right before the Civil War. People can only take so much bull****.
Liberalism—dividing up the EARNED wealth of honest, hard working and ingenious AMERICANS and giving it to the leeches who would rather waste their worthless lives living off the government teat.

I see the word 'racist' as so over used that it has no meaning to me anymore. Most racism is so hidden that it's rarely able to be identified, because people know it will be vehemently condemned. There is sexual bias, racial bias, religious bias, political bias, cultural bias, so let's just agree to be different?

For the same reason I believe covert sexism was on display in the way that Democrats sometimes depict and criticize Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann. I know the prejudices that are common among Americans and I know how Americans tend to covertly express those prejudices. Applying that knowledge to this situation, I hypothesize that racism is a factor in the choices of whomever created that float.

No, no, none of that's racist! And if you go Down South to my old stomping grounds in the Delta and ask the whites if they're racist, they'll tell you hell no, they're not racist! They'll tell you they can't be racist because they've got black friends, and then they'll tell you - if they think they can trust you - just how bad the blacks are about this and about that and about how lazy the blacks are and about how all the blacks want is welfare...but those whites aren't racist, oh, no, certainly not!

And every single one of them are absolutely sure that no one can hear the racist dog whistles but themselves.

    1. I said that I BELIEVE there is covert racism on display so I can't show you 'how there is covert racism here'. I can only show you why I BELIEVE there is covert racism there.

Is this your first day posting on an internet forum?

You've never seen posters stray off topic a little?

    Oy vey Maria!

You are the first person that mentioned any of those other things which have absolutely nothing to do with the topic of the news story.

Oh and we all know that you have to "go down south" to find racism because it doesn't exist in the north right? I mean after the civil war, er excuse me the war of northern aggression, racism was banished to Alabama, MS, GA, LA TN, and the Carolinas where only inbred, barefoot, bucktoothed southern redeck, hillbilly, backwater yokels display it right?

Yes, you're absolutely right - all bias has its root on prejudice against those who are different, whatever that difference may be. I've noted this many times.

And if you'll check, generally speaking, liberals stand for freedom from discrimination, freedom from prejudice, from ridicule and hatred...freedom to have the same rights and freedoms as everyone else even though one is different...

...whereas conservatives are becoming more likely to stand for the freedom to discriminate, freedom to be prejudicial, to ridicule others. Who is it that opposes equal pay for women, who is equal rights for LGBT's (including marriage), against the international treaty for the rights of the disabled (which we helped author, btw)...and who is for the ability to fire any worker for any reason whatsoever, including race, religion, ethnicity?

This one statement sums it up: Generally speaking, liberals embrace the different, whereas conservatives dislike and distrust the different.
