“Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply.”
― Stephen R. Covey
"When Bush left office Iraq was stable.
The monster, uh, president Obama, could not wait to seize defeat from the jaws of nearly certain victory. Who wasted what?"
Yes. The small force that was in Iraq should have stayed there for the next 50 years. Instead the monster did all that he could to destabilize the entire region. It, plus the grave damage he has done to the present and future of the nation may be his only successes. I would include improving his golf game but I think his scores are a state secret. The only reason it somewhat resembled "stability" was because we had a massive military presence there -- one that was not wanted by them or us. Are you suggesting that preserving Iraq's "stability" was paramount, even if it required the same (or heavier) level of occupation that was neither welcome nor wanted here?
Neither will happen. Obama will finish his term and the fat chap will still be fat.
I think we all need to recognize that not all the best answers lay on one side of the political spectrum. We been driven in to this left vs right paradigm, us vs them bull s*** for too long. I'm so tired of this crap. Get over yourselves and your parties. Sure Obama hasn't been the best president. With the amount of money in politics I doubt we'll see a good president for the foreseeable future. Impeaching Obama will only serve to stagnate the government further. But what has he done that other POTUSs haven't?
