What I would like to see is a Republican Pres who is stonewalled by the House like Obama is. Blocking everything he wants to do is a sure way to get a Pres to push the envelope. What was Bush's excuse?

The lack of political skill by a POTUS is no excuse for going beyond the Constitution, as the SCOTUS has reminded on several occasions.:peace

It tells me that leadership is required. It also tells me that we have way more defeatists than we have people of honor.

I suppose it is possible for this monster to be replaced by another monster. Nations do commit suicide from time to time.

Perfect. Let's get a Conservative President blocked by a liberal Republican controlled House. Let's make sure the Republican President is also blocked by a liberal Republican-controlled Senate.

Bush has been out of the White House for about six years now. What does he have to do with anything? He was a big government, liberal Republican president.

If you believe that then you should definitely consider getting out as soon as you can. I hear Argentina would be happy to see you. Or do you consider it more "honorable" to go down with the ship? :2razz:

And he/she will lose again.

I mean....the democrat politicians may be out of touch, but the don't hold a candle to how out of touch the GOP politicians are.

It is a good question. When Bush left office Iraq was stable.
The monster, uh, president Obama, could not wait to seize defeat from the jaws of nearly certain victory. Who wasted what?
