North Korea's take on new US movie: "Act of war"
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea is warning that the release of a new American comedy about a plot to assassinate leader Kim Jong Un would be an "act of war."

If the U.S. government doesn't block the movie's release, it will face "stern" and "merciless" retaliation, an unidentified spokesman for North Korea's Foreign Ministry said in state media Wednesday.
He didn't mention the movie by name but was clearly referring to "The Interview," which stars Seth Rogen and James Franco as a producer and talk-show host who land an exclusive interview with the North Korean dictator and are then asked by the CIA to assassinate him.
The "reckless U.S. provocative insanity" of mobilizing a "gangster filmmaker" to challenge the North's leadership is triggering "a gust of hatred and rage" among North Korean people and soldiers, the spokesman said, in typically heated propaganda language.

I say Kim Jong-un can go **** himself. But I am sure the same people who believe that we should cave to the demands of Muslim terrorists and not show Mohamed in a cartoon or not make a film that shows islam in a negative ligtht will say we should ban this film that hurts the feelings of a piece if **** dictator.

The correct answer is to cite freedom of speech to the half-pint ****wit and leave it at that.

If he considers it a declaration of war then by all means, let him initiate force against us and see what happens. Freedom of speech is well worth dying for, or killing in order to defend.

P.S. Is it too much to hope that the president and his administration have realized that we don't have to APOLOGIZE for our freedom of speech?

If the American regime jails the filmmakers, we will know for sure. 8)

Wow, I never knew Seth Rogen is a gangster film maker.

Rogen must be ecstatic about this free publicity! I wasn't even aware of this movie until now. Now I want to see it.

Does anyone else think we live in a ****ed up world? Or that the world really is hollow, and we've headed down the rabbit hole? I do. I no longer have any confidence in our government to do the right thing. We run from pillar to post reading gossip and lies on the internet. Our politicians are discredited as quickly as they appear to be 'contenders'. Congress is having hearings on the most inane things while Rome is burning. The IRS has become the Gestapo. Our Christian Right takes absurdly unChristian stances. The left wants to turn our country into a welfare state. Our government agencies are corrupt and dysfunctional. I could go on and on.

And now, South Korean threatens WWIII if we release a particular film.

Some people worry about the debt we're leaving our grandchildren. I say we should be more concerned about their mental health.

Yes, the US government should stop the film's release. What they then should do is to bankroll Trey Parker and Matt Stone to do a Team America II movie and make Kim Jong On the bad guy this time...

It's only a movie Kim.

You are only important in your own country. If we censor the movie, next we'll all be wearing his 1930's haircut.

I don't like holywood, in fact, I really hate it... but I don't think censorship is the solution.

No, let NK scream all they want. It's not like they matter. They're just a prick country with a prick leader.

Red: Yes, because, of course, our film industry is nothing but a government-run propaganda machine. I mean, aren't they all? All over the world? We all follow NK's lead, right? *smh*

Green: I agree completely, but to be fair Muslims will sometimes actually follow through with their threats, so I can understand how some would be concerned in that scenario.

We didn't stop Team America. We won't stop this movie either.

Would North Korea being saying this if somebody else was President?

This is an honest question, not a jab at Obama.

Yes, of course. Our President doesnt matter in this case. Kim Jong Un is perhaps a bit insane.

Kim Jong-ung wears little girl pants.

Uh, Maggie, as Rainman said, it's North Korea. We're supposed to be your allies
As for the rest of your post, I fail to see how the US govt is related to this. It's just North Korea with their masquerading and bluster and there's as much chance that they will censor the film as Obama having a sex change operation.

The Mohamed newspaper cartoonist and the paper that published those images are still around so apparent the Terrorist salad tossers and terrorist butt smoochers are wrong.

Personally, I can't wait to see this movie. To show my support for the film, I will paste in a few of my favorite Kim Jong Un memes.

I have one word for NK's foreign ministry: Proceed.

I don't normally advocate war, but I'd love to see us go to 'war' with North Korea!

We're not going to regulate the movie sector to appease a man who has literally gone insane. This is none of the U.S. government's business. If the producers of the movie decide not to proceed with the movie, that's their choice, but I'd prefer that they continue with it.

No. North Korea isn't going to do ****, they're just going to bluster and threaten.

I detest Franco and Rogan, but now I want their film to go gold in every country on Earth.
