I do find it amusing that the right-wing always has to rush to the side of the argument that is most racially offensive. My opinion is that if you want to deliberately offend a group of people, have at it. Lets see how that business model plays out in the 21st century.

Lets start with the sheer dont give a ****edness of every person here that posts their outrage over the 'slur' and has never said word one (or has never done the first thing to help) about the real and actual problems facing the Indian communities at large.

You are all full of ****. The only person here I have ever seen be honest about it is Eco. He at leasts admits he doesnt care about Indians and merely posts because he doesnt like slurs. The rest of you? Its just another race rant.

In another thread I pointed out that from my experience Natives are much more offended by Thanksgiving being a national holiday and what it represents to them but it was widely ignored. I wonder why.
I call my own shots, largely based on an accumulation of data, and everyone knows it.

Who does? I mean seriously like you said what do some of these people who are so offended by it know about Native culture and their state of affairs?

So even you have become one of 'those guys' now. Your comment just made this whole thread a 'win'.

If your answer is "no," you should ponder why not. And maybe even post why not in this thread.
I can't think of a reason to call him/her that other than to out myself as a racist.

Re: Would you call a Native American "redskin" to their face?

I understand the point of this thread, even if it doesn't really make sense to just randomly call someone redskin. It is basically asking if you'd use the term 'redskin' to describe a Native American while in the presence of a Native American. It's not faux outrage, it's a legitimate question. You can dance around it all you like.

All you have to do is look at the OP. Its not about Indians...its really not about the perceived slur for that matter. Its about "the other guys". YOu can post numerous quotes and states from Indians stating the majority just dont care or in fact take pride in the name and support the Redskins in general...but since that doesnt play with their little 'yer a racist' attack they ignore facts and reality.
