I thought Bush was lying. I thought destabilizing Iraq was foolish. Pretty much I was right.
    Yes you do.

A study of IAEA documents submitted to the UN show Bush was not lying, and the meme has instructed followers to say. As to Iraq itself, it was a mistake to think these people were anything but things evolution has being trying to remove from the planet.

Baghdad before the US invasion, looks pretty civilized to me.

    Baghdad after the US invasion

    Whose the barbarian(s)?

"And once we'd ......gotten rid of Saddam Hussein and his government, then we'd have had to put another government in its place. What kind of government? Should it be a Sunni government or Shi'i government or a Kurdish government or Ba'athist regime? Or maybe we want to bring in some of the Islamic fundamentalists? How long would we have had to stay in Baghdad to keep that government in place? What would happen to the government once U.S. forces withdrew? How many casualties should the United States accept in that effort to try to create clarity and stability in a situation that is inherently unstable? I think it is vitally important for a President to know when to use military force. I think it is also very important for him to know when not to commit U.S. military force. And it's my view that the President got it right both times, that it would have been a mistake for us to get bogged down in the quagmire inside Iraq."
    Dick Cheney 1991
Who are the barbarians? I think that is well known. It's time to let the barbarians kill each other off, and assist in the process of evolution ending their kind.

Are you claiming governments can attack our military and we will not consider it an attack on the US?
    I wasn't talking about a military strike.

I don't know. I know next to nothing about military strikes from 10+ years ago. I had little kids and seldom watched the news.

All I know is that they didn't attack US soil, Eco. I never felt threatened by Iraq, even when the garble started during the Clinton years about their WMD.

I think it's a bad idea to claim a country never attacked the US when the government of that country targeted US military assets.

Okay, then you know more than I do and you were in favor of the Iraq War.

I'm just saying. If you want to claim "Saddam never attacked US soil", fine. But I think it sets bad precedent to claim an attack on the US military is not an attack on the US.
