Yeah. I love soccer. Been watching the WC since 2002. Deutschland, uber alles!

It's way too easy to score in b-ball. They could just give each team a hundred points and play for ten minutes.
They tried to change hockey to get more scoring and appeal to (ahem!) non-traditional markets in Columbus and Raleigh, etc. It led to nearly ruining the game and brought us that nasty perverdion, the shoot-out.

NO. I find the game lacking in scoring and very little of the real action happens near the goals. It simply has never appealed to me.

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Might watch bits and pieces of USA games if nothing else is on. Sitting through an entire game, however, is akin to waterboarding to me.

No, unless the USA were to be in the final. Same with hockey. Hockey is soccer played on ice, albeit with actual contact.

You are actually arguing about a sport. My sport is okay, yours is not. Meh.

Heck, if I am surfing through the TV and see a bowling tournament I may watch a little bit but not the whole game.

Just don't see why people have to put someone's choice of sports entertainment down. This is lame as arguing Ford vs Chevy or your beer vs my beer.

This whole thread was not about to see how many actually watch the World Cup but more of the juvenile troll eagerness to just attack soccer. Nothing else on Nickelodeon today I guess.

    Football lasts 90 minutes...

Anyhow, are you saying that if two grid-iron teams played a big hitting match with lots of offence and defence, players making amazing plays which end up with jaw-dropping tackles to stop certain scores - you'd still say it was boring?

What you seem to need then is a game where there is only one side playing - that way you'll get all the high scores you want.

If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.

It requires no physical exertion. You can probably burn more calories playing wii sports.
