Citing murders and riots is "we don't like soccer because we're real Americans so **** you"?

I'm not. I'm just dismissing a dumb argument.

You're ignoring that many of these MLS teams play in football stadiums which are substantially larger then baseball, basketball, and hockey stadiums. You're also ignoring how substantially more expensive MLB, NBA, and NHL tickets are then MLS. You're also ignoring how substantially higher television ratings are for MLB, NBA, and the NHL compared with MLS.

Soccer is a fine sport but MLS is no where near as popular as MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL. Saying so is just ignorant.

You are ignoring how many baseball stadiums are half full, and how many NBA arenas are half full and how many NHL rinks are half full. Most of the MLS stadiums are built just for soccer and aren't that large, but they are full. In Seattle's case they are lucky to be playing in an NFL stadium, but they still bring 45,000 average. Last season, the Mariners had average home attendance of 21,747, their stadium capacity is 47,447. More seats there than the Sounders average attendance. Houston Astros, average home attendance was 20,303 stadium holds 40,963, Houston Dynamo had 19,923 in a stadium with a capacity of 22,039. Portland Timbers had average attendance of 20,674, they play in a stadium that holds up to 22,000 when they expand it.

Soccer stadiums are almost always smaller than their counterparts, and have more attendees.

    No I'm not.

2014 MLB Attendance - Major League Baseball - ESPN
2013-2014 NHL Attendance - National Hockey League - ESPN
2013-2014 NBA Attendance - National Basketball Association - ESPN
2013 NFL Football Attendance - National Football League - ESPN

The only sport that doesn't have insanely great attendance is baseball and that's mostly because it's just such a long season that it makes going to EVERY game too expensive for the average fan, especially when games are constantly on television. You're specifically cherry picking two historically awful MLB teams in the Mariners and Astros.

No matter how you slice it, it's just ignorance to say MLS is more popular than MLB, NBA, and NHL. Soccer is a fine sport but it's just not close. I have to know how horribly wrong you are on the subject, so I just don't see the point in all of these posts. I'm a huge hockey fan but recognize that the sport clearly lags behind the other three in terms of popularity in the United States. So what? It's still a great sport.

Coming from you that literally means nothing.

Anyone who disagrees with you on any subject magically becomes left wing, including people far more principled in conservatism than yourself.

Those are so rare these days is pretty idiotic to bring up.

By that logic riots surrounding the Vancouver Canucks in 2011 means Hockey should be off the menu for Americans as well.
