I might be small, but I pack a really mean left hook, so you'd better watch out for me! Not only that, but I'm also a really mean bully! :2razz:

Well, you are at just about the perfect "ankle-biting" height.

Killer rabbit FTW! lol

Speaking of which...

 I was thinking about posting it too. Hilarious! I just love their little discussion before they take on the "beast" too.

I'm 6 feet (which I don't consider to be tall) and I've always found this to be true, almost to extreme examples frankly. I've also found it to be true across racial lines. This phenomena seems to be very encompassing. Height seems to have a direct correlation on whether or not you are moderate, conservative or very conservative and or liberal.

I've always found the shorter the man, the more conservative, the taller the man, the more liberal and or moderate they are.

What say you?

Illusory correlation.

I've never noticed a correlation. I'm 5'10, which puts me at the exact middle in my country (and yours too), and I'm rather left-wing. I've known short and tall progressives, and short and tall conservatives.

If anything, I have to admit I'd have guessed at a correlation between larger people and conservatism, due to some sort of Freudian belief in 'responsibility' and 'self-sufficiency' that may be less prominent in the psyche of people who are more average in stature and thus constitute the more social and communal elements of society. I think outliers on both ends are likely to be less social, less happy, and less 'normal', unfortunate as all that is -- but I wouldn't imagine that there's any real correlation between stature and political leaning.

Now, I would like to see some polls on education and political leaning, religion and political leaning, social capability and political leaning, etc.

I wish you'd put in a choice of "possibly", because it has been shown that the average height for men has increased 4 inches in the past 100 years (due to changes in our diet, of course), which means that younger men are more likely to be taller (and I've certainly seen it for myself)...and the obvious correlation would be that young men are more likely to be liberal and young men are more likely to be taller...but the correlation would have more to do with the increase in height due to changes in diet than with any other factor.

I used to be 5'9" but I've shrunk to 5'8" over the years.

I was an anarcho-syndicalist as a young fellow, but that was before I discovered the myriad benefits of free market communism. I'm almost certain that the gradual compression in the discs in my spine are responsible.

Really? I don't know. I never heard that before. I'll have to think on that. Right off the bat I thought of Joe Scarborough (tall conservative) and Richard Reich (is that his name? a very short liberal).

Now that I think of it, I don't think that's true. I can think of so many tall conservatives. I'm thinking of politicians, though. Politicians, generally, are taller than average, I think. People tend to vote for authoritative figures as leaders, and they think taller implies leadership and authority. Most Presidents have been tall, for example, and the taller candidate usu. wins.

I've actually heard that conservative men tend to be taller than liberal men, but I really don't know how much stock to put in either of these silly theories.
