Ask the relatives and friends of the 100, 000 plus people killed in G.W. Bush's unnecessary war in Iraq that question.

A lot of those people are looking for some 'payback', and they are going to get it, no matter what it costs them.

    Wait and see what happens.

I don't think you have the capacity to look at the big picture, and your response will be considered ridiculous.

This isn't an answerable question. Too much depends on your point of view.

Don't overthink it, just answer the ****ing question. And yours would be the second choice of course.

I think the question is incomplete unless you list some of the highlights of the good and bad. My observation is most Americans, including me, are (were) largely unaware of the bad and only familiar with the good. I've also noticed a heck of a lot of Americans are offended by discussions of the bad but I still think they need to be made known.

I think America is a force for good and the world is a better place because of America. However, I do not agree with any notion that suggests our good deeds serve as a permission slip to do bad.

Another US Conservative poll that I cannot answer as there is not a legitimate poll option that fits me. Oh well.

Anyway, like a few others have said, for the most part good... though we seem to be losing our way the last few decades. I do think that we still honestly mean well, but we seem to have lost what that actually is. Maybe a good way to phrase it is we've come to believe our own press releases, and hence have become blinded to the realities of our actions.

No country on this planet, and damn few people have a perfect record.

But if you take a close look at the USA, from the time that it came into existence until right now, I believe that it has a pretty good record and has been on the right side of a lot of battles for human rights and freedom.

Some people on this planet condemn the USA because of the good things that it has done. they are on the wrong (Losing.) side of history.

Positive or negative for who, specifically?
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.
