In the Republican party, just like kindergarden, everyone gets a feel good trophy, as they sure have no shot at the big prize.

Yes and no. They focus on the "religious values" argument which turns off a lot of people in the middle, then they insult the evangelicals, they try to appeal to strong conservatives, then target the TEA party, they talk strongly about economic liberty, then pass bills that throttle it. They speak about gun rights, then turn around and compromise a portion of them away. They try to play the line, which isn't a smart strategy.
Neither side in an argument can find the truth when both make an absolute claim on it.

Thanks. I find it comforting that someone from the "left" finds my comment "assinine". It means that I am on tract with rational thinking.
Really? Could you explain that thought to me, because in my estimation it made no sense, not even if I substitute "track."

    I certainly don't.

What a stupid thread subject, IMO.

Which is why the OP is ridiculous - that's all I was trying to point out.

Yet when elections come around, the vast majority of morons run out and vote either Democrat or Republican anyway, so all the sniveling about 'independent voters' and the like means nothing, especially all the breast beating lunacy routinely offered up on message boards, so it's not like the brie and chardonnay sets that lead these parties have to give a crap about inconsistencies or lying to voters year after year after year; they don't need to care what anybody else thinks, obviously. One or the other is going to get your vote no matter what, it's just a matter of reducing the turnout of each other's base these days, hence the focus on negative campaigns.

And this I agree with completely.

Also, just because some white dudes were great presidents doesn't mean they all are. Everyone knows that is true.
