I think you have to look at benefit being relative.

If you don't have anything, no capital, no education, no skills, no resources, your days are pretty much numbered in any modern society/economy.

If the government steps in and provides you with those things that are most necessary to survive then the government has benefited you your very life.

To me, having a roof over your head, food in your belly, access to some degree of medical care, free education for your children, & cet... is worth a whole heck of a lot more, relatively speaking, to someone who has nothing than another $1 million is to a millionaire.

When you consider how the tax burden of borne in this country the simple fact is that the millionaire is providing government with the funds necessary to ensure that the lowest socioeconomic strata of society does not literally die off from starvation, illness, and want of all stripes.

And the end of the fight is a tombstone white with the name of the late deceased,
And the epitaph drear: “A Fool lies here who tried to hustle the East.”

When it comes to gender, men tend to benefit the most from those areas. Privilege gets you benefits. Period.
    Well said.

I've never seen a multi-select poll that asks for "the most". I answered before it became a poll and it just got worse.

On an individual level, how much one benefits from government certainly varies. An individual poor person may benefit from the gov. MUCH more than an individual rich person. However, looking at it on a systemic level - which is the OP seems to want us to do - then the very wealthy systemically benefit more from the government than the poor. The very wealthy get better public schools, public roads and other public facilities and programs. The very wealthy get more political influence, more government connections and so on. The very wealthy benefit more from government because our society - even the government - responds more to money than it does to the lack of it.

I sense that you're trying to make a point, but you'll need to be more direct.

The and probably the Middle Class would be starving or dead without the government.

Seems obvious to me. Government contributes a lot to social stability whether it be through welfare type programs or infrastructure. Without the current spending, keeping things calmed down, people would take their discontent to the streets with the associated rioting

IIRC, most social spending goes to the middle class.

Some corporations benefit from the gubmint, but at the expense of other corporations.
If you expect people to be rational, you aren't being rational.
