“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” ― George Bernard Shaw, Man and Superman
Well.....whatever his interaction was with his captors. Wasn't what most are accustom to. So he got lucky.....in that regard. Learning the language would be one of the basics.
Also connected to this issue is BO playing this out to try and get the Taliban to the negotiating table. They haven't talked to us in 2 years. Which doesn't even count the first time we released Taliban in Afghanistan.
Can't quite be certain yet but there's something unsavory about this whole Bergdahl affair.
The one guy is their Intel Man. Commander. They wont stop him from jumping back into the fight. He has pledged to kill Americans.
Our people will be in even more danger.....and now this will be a problem going forward with AQ and their likes.
BO needs to be called before Congress.....to be humiliated before this nation. Carney just reported that they think they have mitigated enough to approve the release. That's BS.....he hasn't mitigated nothing. He just went around Congress. Broke the Law and knowingly did so.
I love the smell of face-palm in the morning!
"You ain't no Muslim bruv!"
You can't see that BO has been sending word thru Qatar for 2 years? Qatar says they vouch for them. That they will make sure they stay in Qatar for a year.
You want to know How I view that.....I think they will heal up. Get back in shape. Taking their time to get back into the Game. Then when the year is over with. They will be out for a little payback.
Pics from Qatar.
Five Taliban leaders have arrived in Qatar after being freed from Guantanamo Bay in a swap deal for a US soldier held in Afghanistan for nearly five years.
The prisoners were flown by US military C-17 aircraft into the Gulf on Sunday. They were named on Saturday as Mohammad Fazl, Mullah Norullah Noori, Mohammed Nabi, Khairullah Khairkhwa and Abdul Haq Wasiq.
"I thank the government of Qatar, especially its emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad [Al Thani], who made sincere efforts for release of these leaders and for their mediation and for hosting them."
When Qatar takes the role of intermediary, it plays this role on a humanitarian basis which is the whole concept of Qatar foreign relations," he said.
The five Taliban are understood to be limited to living in Qatar for their first year of freedom, a condition that the Afghan government on Sunday said was against "international law" and called for their immediate release.
A White House official told Al Jazeera on Saturday that the US administration would not have transferred prisoners from Guantanamo "unless the threat they may pose to the US can be mitigated".
He said the Taliban prisoners would be "subject to restrictions on their movement and activities"......snip~
Qatar is so full of themselves......they could be used as blimps. This coming from those that give Full Support and backing to all MB.........in any Country.
