simple question

When I say "ban guns", I'm talking about making it illegal to carry a gun in public.

I don't really see fear as a factor. More of a difference in the cost/benefit analysis between the opposing sides.

Does my ownership of a fire extinguisher mean I'm afraid of fires? Or just prepared?

I would love anyone of the anti-2nd Amendment crown who votes that carrying a gun means you're afraid to explain their logic.

again when asked why one carries a gun the scenarios are remarkably scary. People seem afraid of every moment they are in public and even more so in their own homes. Where my fire extinguisher is there in the unlikely scenario of a fire in my house that I can put out.

I don't think about my fire extinguisher until I need it and when I am in someone else's space I don't worry that I don't have it with me. but some of the people on these boards go crazy if someone suggests there are places they shouldn't carry their weapon.

You aren't prepared for anything simply by carrying a gun. In fact I would argue most people would do more harm than good in a crisis.

Like the little old woman in the story, with the small arsenal in her car, whom the cop asked "Ma'am what are you afraid of?"

and she replied: "Not a damn thing officer!"

Available statistics says your assertion/fear is unfounded. CCWers do less harm per capita than cops.

Yeah, me and anyone else that carries in public is thinking of nothing other than an excuse to pull it out. Brilliant.

Source for that claim? Or are you pulling **** out of your ass?

Being prepared for something scary is not being scared.

In fact I would argue most people would do more harm than good in a crisis.

And you would be wrong and just as ill informed about the crime statistics. More and more states keep giving out carry permits, violent crime still keeps falling.

Oops, I clicked the wrong vote button. Is there any way to change my vote? Either way, please do not group me with ignoramuses.

Who is least afraid?

people with guns
people who want to ban guns
other

It's not about fear. The gun control agenda is driven primarily by the desire to unjustly exercise power over others. Gun control favors tyrants and criminals, because it renders defenseless those whom they wish to oppress, abuse, or otherwise victimize.

Most of the left think that CCWers are irresponsible and are looking for an excuse to draw, like it's the 19th century dust bowl.

I don't think I have to tell you how utterly stupid they come across as.

I'm not afraid at all. This is yet another stupid poll.

I think you voted incorrectly based on your comment

criminals and tyrants fear being shot by those they seek to oppress. Its like the legendary asshole who was pissed about William Tell having a second arrow in his tunic
