The impression I got from hearing the Sterling tape is that he was worried about what other people would think if his mistress is seen with black guys. That doesn't mean he's racist. Nor does using the n-word during his fight with her mean he's a racist. It's just a word and it's silly for people to get upset about it. Actions speak louder than words. If he's so racist then why did he have black mistress? It makes no sense at all to presume he's a racist.

Michael Vick is a criminal who was very cruel to dogs.

I have posted evidence that proves the latter part of your sentence to be false (evidence of actions which are racist). It also proves that he has done more than just words.

Sterling isn't being judged by his "long history." He's being judged by words said in private. "Meat farming" is feeding the masses. I don't equate meat farming in any way, shape or form to the horrible sport of dog fighting.

First you want to pretend that an 80 year old man that said something in private to a scorned 30 year old girlfriend is some great atrocious crime, FAR greater than a guy who actually committed acts that involved not only training dogs to fight and kill each other but personally engaged in brutally killing dogs that didnt measure up. I never said anything about bullying, I was talking about a comment made by somebody and other people deciding to take offense to it when they had no place to react to it.

Although I agree a private conversation should remain private, once it becomes public it does do harm. The owner of a basketball team, this in a league full of African Americans with a huge consumer base of same, made disparaging remarks about them which were caught on tape and then released to the public. He is toast. Rightfully so. It's not like people can un-hear what he said.

OPtions are sue whomever he can sue, starting with the **** who illegally recorded and released his private conversation.

The dog killer went to jail and served his time. Once Sterling serves his punishment, he too can return to whatever it is he wants to do. His options are not just a few.

1. Accept all punishment, sell the team for a Billion Bucks and head off into the sunset.

2. Fight and run the risk of losing value when the NBA decommissions his team

3. Negotiate a settlement.

4. Pay fines and accept suspension but refuse to sell.

5. Sue everyone and anyone he feels wronged him


Seems to me, DS needs no crocodile tears from the peanut gallery.

He did not make disparaging remarks about them. He asked his "girlfriend" to not take pictures or bring other men to his games. He specified black men but it is the same.

If somebody that was not involved with their conversation is hurt by his words that is their problem. I just don't see how it could happen, but then again I am an adult.

That is not true, he was banned for life.

It is sick, and I see a lot of the posters here are sick as well, that people think that words spoken are worse than the pain and suffering caused by Vick to those animals for fun.

A person without a conscience, like Vick, cannot be rehabilitated. After he is done spending his time on Football, we will see him in the news again probably killing one or more people.

Often "banned for life" doesn't necessarily mean banned for life, especially in the NBA.

Now be careful. If the dog has black skin, you are a skinniest. If the dog just has black fur, you are a furriest.

I hate dogs with black skin. It is too hard to find the fleas and ticks on them. I guess that makes me a skinniest.
