And on top of that, he insulted every working person by calling paychecks handouts. He spewed that crap out of a modern plantation fantasy.

No one wants to work for him.
And yet, they do. And are. Could be more than a touch of histrionics going on here. The outrage and drama fairy is definitely puttin in a little bit of overtime.

Such a clear case of long term racism and disrespect for employees comes to light, of someone it was not expected from (despite some evidence against him being rather clear), besmirching the NBA as an organization, you post about it... complaining it's drama.

    Ok

    Ok
"Such" a clear case...and yet, up until two weeks ago he was being recognized by the NAACP for his NUMEROUS contributions to minority communities and you nor anyone else gave a **** about him.

Please...put Tina the drama llama back in the back acre when you are done feeding her.

This is not the first time someone in a position that would presume the exclusion of disgusting behavior turns out to be a bad guy.

It is the most egregious example of such regarding a major sports ownership in the modern era.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at some of the dramatic posts in this thread.

    1) They're under contract.
this isn't where I got it...but here is a better example of it:

NBA players were “ready to boycott” games if NBA hadn’t acted against Donald Sterling

    2) Where are they going to go... that pays them anywhere close to what they're getting now? Europe? Not until their contract is up, and even then most of the best players want nothing to do with that.
    I don't know...ask them.

He also excluded blacks from housing and treated employees in a bigoted manner, that's institutionalized racism. Those things were given the benefit of the doubt until he made it clear that he is a bigot in his personal life, then the other things became undeniable.

It's like a teacher turning out to abuse children or a cop being a drug dealer. It's unexpected for the person's position. That adds to the shock.

I think for some people, the denial is a matter of shock and, for others, it's a matter of wishing it would somehow turn out he's not racist (and is forgiven for our misunderstanding) and they were right all along.

Yeah. Too bad we don't hang people at the meetinghouse at sundown anymore. Some of these people would be volunteering to knot the noose if they thought Sterling's head would end up in it.
