I grew up around the remnants of that s*** in the South. I've experienced mistreatment from people who believe that s***.Our new Government is founded upon exactly the opposite ideas; its foundations are laid, its cornerstone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery, subordination to the superior race, is his natural and moral condition.

three were white-one was black (a med student). One of the guys behind me snickered to several of us--WONDER HOW THE BLACK GUY GOT A RHODES
well fortunately I took the time to ask him. we had lunch. He was a phi beta kappa at Princeton, an all american and worked at a hospital helping disabled vets. His board scores were much higher than the average at yale med. he was the most qualified man in the room I was in. and he will have people questioning his credentials-as a doctor or RS the rest of his life
To trivialize MildSteel's experiences and encounters with racism is simply to deny reality. I know that's going to be a very uncomfortable truth for some of you, but truth is no respecter of beliefs.
